As we know before 1947 in India there were princely states or independent regions for centuries. But after 1947 India was under central administrative govt. India is a big country. What was the miracle that made people administer such a big land they had no experience of nor they were evolved that way. On the contrary it was opposite as mentioned above. So people can throw some light on it please?

When Brits were here, even at that time bureaucracy, trained by Brits was running whole of the undivided India. Brits trained a huge lot of politicians, about the time they were leaving. So, both of the countries inherited large number of bureaucrats and politicians.
Pakistan was doing good in her initial 30 years, way better than India, but then came Bhutto. 1600 top brass of Pakistani bureaucracy was fired in a click(in 1970s), and all legal protections removed from bureaucracy(which are still intact in India, and that why India is progressing).
So practically, nothing much changed after so called "Independence". Same Deputy commissioner system, same English as main mean of official communication, same political parties(Even both Muslim league and Congress are there). The biggest irony is, the head of your state is still called "Prime-minister"(minister? Minister of who? May be of Queen).

Pakistan's state failure is due to obsession of Kashmir & teaching of wrong history, continuous fanning of hatred towards Indians & Hindus.

Only giving up Kashmir & accepting India as a bigger power can bring normalcy in Pakistan or save it from extinction.

Better late than never. Pakistan was a blunder, which you can't undo now. You cannot re-unite with India with the kind of religious animosity which prevails, it will de-rail India also. So only possibility is for surrender & be a peaceful neighbor. As long as people fan Islam as a superior race to Hindus & can't bow down to India, Pakistan will keep suffering & heading towards disintegration. No power can stop it, only India can.

Bangladesh is prospering only because they accept India as a bigger power. The day the Gov.t starts open anti India, anti Hindu policies or promotes terror, BD also will go the Pakistan's way. There will be a Myanmaar in the place of Afghanistan
Yea just like nepal or bhutan we need to accept india as our master lol we all know what is happening in nepal the shear hatred against indias forced involvement in its domestic and international polices has created distrust for the indian government .
And lets not forget the sri lanka fiasco .

why is it a miracle? It is just where you put your focus on. Pakistans focus is on military where as India's focus is governing the masses. If India did the same it would have been no different.

Contrary to the popular belief I believe India hasnt done any thing remarkable in last 70 years since independent, despite inheriting several excellent institutes and established systems from Railways to post offices to Hospitals. Under British rule India use to generate 25 % of world's GDP , which is no way near now. Indian image at the international level has been a poor country with diverse culture and huge population problem, i dont think any thing has change with regard to that. Although over last 20 years it has managed to improve its outlook from a country of slums to a rapidly developing economy. On the other hand if you see China, Korea or East Asian countries they have progressed massively despite very low resources.

I also believe if partition hadnt happen united India would have been similar to what India is today, the only thing is Pakistan lost its way in last 20 years and needs to pick up now. Pakistan was suppose to set a benchmark to be followed by other regional countries. Unfortunately the corrupt ruling elite and military officials looted the country with both hands leading to near collapse situation on several occasions. However looking at the history , change in regional political dynamics , emerge of China as global power and awareness among masses within Pakistan I see a very bright future for the country . Over the next ten years Pakistan would be a completely different country. Being a small country its easier to manage and i have noticed the change in thinking of military and civilian minds.

On the other hand , I also feel India is more stronger than ever, Kashmir is not discussed in most international meetings/summits openly as the world wants to move on and avoid risking its economical or military relations with India.

I am no expert on india's domestic problem and their solutions , but as far as external threats and problems are concerned if India improves its relation with China and Pakistan , it will become a regional power earlier than what most people can imagine.

India generated 2% of world's gdp under british rule in 1900 with frequent famine. 25% was during pre-colonial era.

India is reaping the benefits of the vision, wisdom and leadership shown by leaders like Nehru, Indira and PVN.

After division , India had everything to establish govt and Pakistan had non Zero. Indian had all ESTABLISHED institutions from education to politics. We had non. We came very long way and should be proud of it.

Established institutions don't change the nature. In 1947 there was unusual display of behavior from people of India to live together. Deep down somewhere the change happened.

Colonization

What was special in Colonization of two hundred years that changed the course of two millennia?

Under britush rule India's share of world GDP came down from 25% to less than 2%. You need to get your facts straight.

Before the British. There isn't India. You need to get your facts straight.

India needs a massive restructuring of the DNA of its inhabitants.

Currently it is a cesspool full of low IQ creatures who could be barely called Homo Sapiens. i.e. consider their inability to use t-oilets.
