You have a point as per religions.
Sadly you must also understand how parents and especially Pakistani parents work.
As islam gives parents rights over children it also gives children rights over parents. Have you ever heard a Pakistani parent tell you what your rights are over them? Why? Because they would lose control. Pakistani parents are all about control. That control is being lost not only in the west but Pakistan itself. This is solely due to poor decisions made by parents to entrap children. Lives of the children are destroyed by the parents and through poors decision such as in marriage.

Children should listen to advice from the parents but there is no compulsion in islam or Pakistani society to to the wrong thing your parents tell you to do. Example marriage or shoot someone in a land dispute. If Allah gives you the right to say yes or no to a marriage who the hell are the parents to force you to marry your bucked toothed overweight ugly cousin because she is the daughter of your chacha? No sorry
I agree you should listen to the parents be polite to them but Pakistani parents also need a firm hand. This is how they are. If you are constantly patient polite and nice they simply steamroller you

The nerve to say this, what he don't know the Pakistani Uk community has done so much for Pakistan. Instead, we get robbed at the airport, prices are pushed up when we buy, they give us second class service or product. We have to pay rishwat, they send dirty girls to trap us then force us to pay to get out of jail. Nowadays they mock us in the newspapers yes in Pakistan. Recently this coronavirus pandemic, pak airport sold off seats already reserved because they were doubling their money, screwing oversea paks.

If you narrow this behaviour down to an individual it be like my uncle but scale it up you got whole nation selling out.

i have lived in UK for good 6 years so i know very well how desi people are and how they behave.. i remeber those Saturday nights pretty well -
i have few friends who are very well off in UK.. all you have to do is more work and less complain- no one is privileged or entitled -
I am living comfortably in Saudi Arabia while still having maintaining good and healthy relationship with my immediate family and relatives- People treat you the way you are give respect and take respect - Mentality of all educated and high mighty than your low IQ pendu relatives will not take you anywhere -

I am living comfortably in Saudi Arabia while still having maintaining good and healthy relationship with my immediate family and relatives- People treat you the way you are give respect and take respect - Mentality of all educated and high mighty than your low IQ pendu relatives will not take you anywhere -
