In my experience it is usually Karachi (Urdu speakerss) and Punjabis marrying each other

But I know lots of Punjabi/Pashtun marriage also take place, especially in cities like Peshawar, Pindi etc...

It happens more often than you think. Its one of those few "right" things happening in Pakistan, as its becoming an ethnic melting pot. Its also encouraging to see people give you a funny look when you ask their cast these days.

I myself is not a fan of first cousin marriages and not just becasue genetic pollution thing. In most of the cases I have seen these are forced marriages which make them even bad.

In pakistan, most people want to marry a pathan/pashtun or some other northerner girls, whenever they think of marrying outside their ethnic group, because their chicks are so gori and good looking
