For a squadron of fgfa we have wait till 2030...bad policies and purchase system.
Excessive democratisation of defence acquisition has resulted in a fractured procurement, negotiation and acquisition process.
Such deals should be finalised with sheer decisiveness and with a cut-off.
Actually you need to look at it in a different way.
Start from ....
What is india's greatest security threat. Ans: internal insurgency.
So what does India need to solve it's internal insurgents?
Next greatest threat to India is probable Pakistan which is just next door and much much smaller.
Nuclear subs? Sheath fighters? Aircraft carriers? Intercontinental missiles?
Go figure.... Indians ..
Makes me vomit blood
Terrorism within has elements that have base outside. Cutting these branches won't solve anything.
There are two aspects to security; internal and external with different departments dealing with them.
National defence assets are needed at all times so as to be able to resolve internal problems peacefully.
