This thread is about how to counter the threat, India is manage to counter China threat, we're preparing the same on our side against India, at the end it won't solve any of your problem beside escaladation. This thread is not about wage war nor proxy so I don't want to derail it.

At the same time... It won't solve any of your problem, Does it? India do NOT have any plans to occupy Chinese land, If you do that then the already flat nose will be cut! Hope that embarrassment will avoided by sane minds in CPC!

1. India has postponed the implementation of GST which could have easily added more than 1% to our GDP almost instantly.
2. India has taken regressive tax posturing in past 2-3 years.. Companies are flying away.
3. Congress has almost sold the entire country. No headway has been made in Commonwealth games fiasco, and much less said about 2G scam..

Indian military was much more closer to China in 1962 than it is now. China had a civil war and Korean War to deal with. Even if India was technologically superior to China, we would still defeat India in war because we are strategically very good in warfare. Despite India's advances it has never defeated a powerful military.

Ha ha ha... That was a good joke with the noisy Chinese submarines and those Chinese so called 5th generation junks! You would defeat India... but with what price? Does it worth the risk to take? And it holds good with China too! Despite China's advances it has never defeated a powerful military be it Russians or Americans!

Likewise, I never wanted Indian nukes to kill a single Chinese!

India had never been technologically superior to China.

The right word is "equipped" - India was far superiorly equipped (with arms from both the Ruskies and Yankees in 1962, just as today) than China in 1962.

I doesn't matter what is said, the actions of the PRC speak louder.

India's government has a responsibility to defend the nation against any potential threat. The biggest external threat to the country is the PRC.

The government is taking steps (too slowly IMHO) to counter any potential threat. These steps include:

-Completing the nuclear Triad(missiles, airstrike, sub strike)
-Putting the entire PRC under the Indian nuke umbrella (Agnvi V completed this)
-Reinforcing troop levels on the border (89,000 troops in the next 5 years)
-Modernizing the army (F INSAS, Upgraded Bofors, M777, new ATGM, new SAM's, etc.)
-Chinooks, Apaches, C130J, Globemasters, Rafales, etc.
-Building rail links, roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.

India is (too) slowly tying up the loose ends on the northern front.

Because of this, the probability for war is lowered. The PRC is less likely to pick a fight it could lose.

The build up and modernization of the Indian army along the Northern borders will help stabilize the region, so hopefully the process will continue to pick up speed.

PLA is itching to spank India again just like 1962. This time, our Tibet airbases will launch strikes on the Indian capital city and Y-20 will paradrop our armor divisions there directly for the final decisive battle. Our biochem weapons will be highly effective.

Dude, China may be more powerful than India..But wait, you can see USA with its huge military is not daring to attack Iran. Why?? Bcz even a much inferior country like Iran is enough to make considerable damages to US economy.. So still do you think that china has enough courage to attack an economic power like India?? India can easily block the Chinese ships coming from the middle east with oil in the Indian Ocean which will result in a huge oil shortage while in war. I believe that there is no way for an Indo-China war. But if there is, both countries will go back to the stone age..........

You've clearly never heard of the Korean War. The fact that North Korea is a country now and is not part of a united Korea is due to China. Read up the Korean War or watch a video of it, might learn something about history.
Might be too hard to stomach for an Indian.
