You know whats the most interesting thing. You think that everyone else is being manipulated by their respective media except you, because you somehow have the ability to discern truth from lies. You being smart or not is not the question here and I dont see how it helps your argument that I questioned.

Everyone is exposed to propaganda of different forms, China is no exception, but western media is more so, that's why almost all foreigners change their mind when living in China for some time while most Chinese don't see big difference between the reality and what we learned from the media about the west when living in western countries.

A major difference between Chinese and anyone from "democratic society" is, Chinese knows their media is nothing but propoganda, but those who are so proud of their "free media" have no idea they have been brainwashed while they are singing praises. Therefore, Chinese are less likely to be fooled by propoganda.

Chinese are much more critical and open-minded than some cold-war dinosaur could ever comprehend. Have they even paused and thought about how China came to what it is today? From a humble 3rd world country to a superpower that is too big to tackle in one breath?

Anyway, it is so stupid to measure 21st century China with 20th century tape measure.
