How do I create friendship with a kitten that just came to my house to hunt the rats ?

So we had some rat problem in our home so a cousin brought a kitten for us so that it could eat rats .
But that kitten is actually cute and I want to create friendship but I'm very scared to touch it .
It runs after me whenever sees me and I'm really scared , but I get its harmless maybe it's little and runs after every human it sees and is actually following us to get out of the house . Might be missing his mom or is scared over here .
I want to have it as a pet , how do I create friendship with it ? I'm scared of animals .

Only Dogs can be friends with Humans not cats or any other animals.

No need to feel any fear, look him/her in the eyes then gently blink a couple of times, this is supposed to relay to the kitten that you are not a threat, in no time you will be best of friends.Kudos kid

Stay still. How can you be friends if you don't let the kitten come close? Don't touch it unless you want to. Feed it an occasional saucer of milk and she'll not leave your side. Don't expect friendship like a dog gives a human. Cats belong to nobody but themselves or to a cat of the opposite gender (maybe).

I just want to have an experience of friendship with an animal .
Just want to understand It and for that I need to overcone my fear .
Friendship doesn't mean giving commands it's about understanding right .

Give her milk and some biscuits. Dont try to get too close too soon. he is probably as scared of you as you are of her

We had a kitten whose mom had abandoned her or died (maybe). She had come to our house during heavy monsoon season to save herself from rain. My mom gave her some milk and malpuaa ( a type of Indian sweet) At first we thought shee would go away after a few days but she alsways started coming. We sort of adopted her as a pet. She did not sleep in the house at night but other than that she was with us.

We had this joke that we did not require an alarm clock. Every morning at 6:30 she wanted milk. if it was even a few minutes late she would start scraching the door and doing meow meow till someone would open the door and give her the milk
