How different a Bengali Muslim is from a Pakistani Muslim?

That is top class BS. An african negro Muslim or Christian STILL a negro. Race and religion are not the same thing. You need to visit India first to how a North Indian Kshatriya looks like.

Exactly lol, kshatriya caste from North and west India have this specific look.

They are either tall and Strong or Average and Bulky. Generally light skinned with very high Robust look.

Getting information about Islam or indeed any religion from an internet forum isn't very smart. Best to go to the respective place of worship of a religion to learn more about it such as the East London Mosque. I'd also like to know your source for finding out this hadeeth.

You google search "pakistani bride hindulike dresses". What do you expect to find? Also, did you click on any of the images? If you had, you would know that 99% of them are Indian dresses, not Pakistani ones and the ones that aren't specified to be Indian are not specified to be Pakistani either. Here's some info for you: Googling something doesn't mean you'll find exactly what you're looking for no matter how malicious your intent may be.

There are over a million Hindus in Pakistan who will have their own style of wedding dresses which will be perfectly "Pakistani". Wedding dresses are more to do with culture anyway, as a quick google image search will lead you to find since that seems to be your preferred method of gathering information:

why did you get banned, may i ask?

edit: on the topic of bengali vs pakistani muslims, you're comparing an ethnicity to a nationality. in the UK, bangladeshi (not bengali) british and pakistani british are classified as ethnicities but let's assume bangladeshi and bengali are synonymous. the fact is that in the UK, there aren't any differences between bangladeshi and pakistani muslims in terms of religion, but of course, there are cultural differences but that's not to do with religion. our communities are very close. in fact, brit paks are almost certainly closer to brit banglas then brit indians and i'm sure the same can be said vice versa.
@doorster is lying.

I have never saw any Pakistani touch the feet of their mothers as a way of greeting. LOL.

If @doorster wants to learn about Islam they should go to an Islamic mosque to learn about Islam.

^ I agree, both groups are intermarrying as well. I wonder how this mixed future generation will look.will Mirpuris accept them as their own ?

I habe visited London and Manchester once and i dont think Indo-Brits have anything common with either Pakistani or Bangladeshi people. I still remember that my cousins(Brahmins) had Indian, White, Asian and black friends but no Pakistani or Bangladeshi ones. My oldest cousin had one Russian, two English and one Arab, persian best friends.

Both groups are kind of segregated, for our own good.

thanks for specifying your cousins' caste, not that anyone cares apart from perhaps the other indian members. don't worry, you won't be looked down upon (or revered, for that matter) for belonging to a certain caste.

it depends. brit indian muslims are more integrated with brit paks and brit banglas as a whole compared with hindu brit indians. there's no tension between brit indian and brit pak or brit bangla communities that i know of, and community cohesion would only be a good thing. one of my childhood best friends was an indian hindu and our families were quite close.

The sample size for the uk sylhetis may have been small, it's not like I'm saying every single sylheti has arab origins or anything, my sylheti father himself is pretty dark coming from a poor family in Moulvibazaar; I for sure know he's got your typical bangla genetic composition. My mom occasionally teases him about his complexion lol. On my paternal side I have sylheti cousins that are dark as Tamils, caramel skin with mongoloid features, as well as a couple of cousins that look persian. The one that looks persian, their mom(my chachi) is a uk sylehti who also looks persian. So yeah a lot of diversity exists indeed.

As far as the family book, I'll have to ask my mom about how far back the book goes.
Let me explain it in details. Traits like facial feature, skin tone ect. are influenced by a small numbers of gene. So there are many phenotypes within a single "mixed" ethnic group. Since Bengali race was formed by 3 distinctive early human races, our traits are also more diverse.
Now take a look on how Bengali race was formed based on early Eurasians DNA, I hope you read those papers I posted before:
- 50% of genes belongs to early agriculturalist that migrated from fertile crescent, possibly modern day Iran. They are closely related to west Asians, Caucasians, Arabs and Europeans.
-20-25% of genes belongs to aboriginal ancestral south Asians. They are distantly related to Melanesians or Papuans.
-10-15% of genes belongs to proto Indo Europeans from Sinthasta,Andronovo,Yamnaya cultures. They are also closely related to Europeans,West Asians ect.
-10-15% of genes belongs to East Asians of both Tibeoto Burman and Austroasiatic family.
Now let's see how the genes influence our traits, since you are more interested to know why your dad and mom looks so different.
First of all, let's suppose your mom is a descendent of shah Jalal's companion, but we know that they came to Bengal in 1300, or 21 generation back. If the second generation of those Arab-Sylhetis had 50% Bengali genes(from their moms), the third generation was 25% Arab, fourth generation was 12,5% arab ect. so in modern time a direct descendent of those Arabs would score only traces of arab/yemeni genes, around 2-3% at best. Ive seen an Indian muslim of Yemeni origin(He has arab Y dna E1b), scoring only 3% Arab in DNA scores.
Traits are also affected by genetic selection, for example Partent-A is dark skinned and tall and Parent-B is light skinned and short. They have 3 kids, Kid-A got light skin tone from Parent-B and tall stature from Parent-A, Kid-B got dark skin tone from Parent-A and medium height(average height of P-A and P-B) and Kid-C got medium skin and short height. I know a mixed girl(half Italain and half Nigerian), she looks fully black African, people always tell to her Italian mom if she was adopted lol.
The same happenes with Bengalis, look at Bidya Sinha Mim's family, She's hindu so there is no chance of any Arab genes on her. Her caste is Saha, I think it is some sort of middle caste or lower-middle caste in Hindu caste system.
Bidya-Sinha-Saha-Mim-family.jpg

She(Mim) looks heavily influenced by those early agriculturalist genes that Bengalis have. Her sister on the other hand looks moderately east Asian influenced, her mom and dad look balanced mix with her mom being a bit more in the east Asian and early agriculturalist side and her dad being in both east Asian and Ancestral south Asian side. Hindus are very endogamous society, so genetically both her mom and dad would be the same.
Anyway you are always free to take a DNA test, but im very much confident it will be 99% local Bengali. :-)

I read in PDF that Bengalis are way different from Pakistanis. I wonder how different are Bengalis compared to Pakistanis? Isn't Pakistan itself a multi ethnic country with several different cultures? Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashtun, Baloch, Tribal culture etc.

Pakistanis must be different... other wise Bangladesh would not be killing Benaglis labeling them Pakistan supporters.

Depends, we brahmins have perfect bland culture. Dharmic and Western.

Thats my ethnicity, i like to identify with my own people only, who belong to real Vedic-Aryan Tribes chosen by lord Indra. We are oldest surviving nation in the world, older than 5000 years.

we dont care if chamars or buangis look up to us or look down to us, they are just sub humans for us.

>it depends. brit indian muslims are more integrated with brit paks and brit banglas as a whole compared with hindu brit indians.

Because all are Muslims hence brotherhood.

Okay.

Almost similar to me, I have light olive skin with pink freckels all over my face like this.
red_hair_and_freckles_by_neiy-d4m1sg8.jpg

Majority of my face including the T Zone of my Face is Bright Red/Pink thus gives me different look.

You are too light i guess, the gujjars where i live look very dark almost black like these .

Do pakistani gujjars look different on avg. From these gujjars ? Do you have different ethinic background ?

We are very mixed as far as I can tell, with dark and light people among us.

As compared to Hindustani Gujjars, I'm not sure. I haven't met or seen many Hindustani Gujjars but I'd assume they would be darker due to geographical positioning and since Pakistanis have more foreign DNA in them.

There have been studies showing that Muslim Gujjars differ from their Hindu counterparts (most probably because of genetic ancestry from Islamic conquerors):

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/3163234/

Pakistani Gujjars are also interesting since roughly 10-13% of words from various Gojri dialects (other than the ones spoken in the Punjab) in Pakistan come from Yousefzai Pashto, suggesting that Gujjars in Pakistan (outside of the Punjab of course) would be migrants from the region of Pashtunistan (no other way to explain how Azad Kashmiri Gujjars have so many Pashto words in their dialects).

Inter-marriage is still rare amongst the two communities, in actual fact I've come across three, two of which were Bengali girls marrying out.

Your cousins seem to be the exception to the rule. The vast majority of Indians have friends from their own ethnicity. It's the same for other ethnicities as well;

Just one in 10 Britons has a best friend from a different ethnic background,

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...as-best-friend-of-different-race-8750993.html

One in three white Britons (35%) have no friends from an ethnic minority background,

There’s a lot of intermarrying between Bengalis and Pakistanis in the NY area.
