How different a Bengali Muslim is from a Pakistani Muslim?

Even Punjabi Pakistanis look very different than Indian Punjabis, lol ; even they're accents and sometimes languages are different. Punjabis are similar to our Pashtuns, but slightly darker (tan) and built up.
I wouldnt say that many Indian Punjabis look very much like Punjabis in Pakistan the Punjabis who look most different from Indian Punjabis are those of Kashmiri,Pathan,Persian, centrl asian or Mid eastern descent

Off topic, Bengalis are probably Muslims because of Pashtuns.

Sorry wrong info. Bengalis are Muslim because of Arab, Turk, Persian traders, sufis, rulers, invaders. From 1532-1576 for 44 years Bengal was in some sorts of Afghan Pashtun influence. But were they converting people? But these Pashtuns were some sort of Turk product themselves. And from 1565 Mughals started to take Bengal from them. So how many years that leaves Pashtuns in Bengal? But they were always in our service as tribesmen not they had any significant influence.

Didn't realize you guys had a Middle Eastern influence. Thought you lot were total indians.

Say la ilaha illallah and you start to have middle eastern influence. You dont need rocket science to understand that.

Its funny how everyone coming up here with i am more white, taller and good looking than others but truth is there is no one fixed colour, height in one race and there are all sort of white, brown, taller shorter people even within one ethnicity..look at ANP leaders of KPK bashir balor and others pashto actors/singers and tell me how they look more fair/taller than say atif aslam, shaan, hamyoon saeed, faisal qureshi, javed shiekhs etc . Go to surrounding areas of khauta and point out how kashmiri are any different than pothwari living side by side..some kashmiri look pale shorter and weaker compare to some pothwari speaker so such discussion is total non sense to begin with

Most punjabis who claim these ancestry are low caste converts or landless peasants kammi type people you find in cities. Couple of weeks ago I meet someone with Khan surname, he and his whole family looked like christians. Only Butts who are of kashmiri decent and few Kasuri pathans are likely what they say but their population is minimum. Rest are local converts and punjabis who look psudo middle eastern are just high caste converts. People say Raheel Sharif look like Sadam Hussain but he is rajput and they don't claim any foreign ancestry.

I read in PDF that Bengalis are way different from Pakistanis. I wonder how different are Bengalis compared to Pakistanis? Isn't Pakistan itself a multi ethnic country with several different cultures? Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashtun, Baloch, Tribal culture etc.

Yes Pak is multi ethnic, but all ethnicities have lived on banks of River Indus since centuries, just like Nile in Egypt. Pakistan the word is an acronym Punjab, Afghania (kpk old name), Kashmir , Sindh, balochisTAN ..1st time used in 1933 by Ch Rehmat Ali , Bengal was never in it. Pakistan resolution 1940 called for more than one state of muslims , but British never gave the option. Thus the state with two wings 2000 km apart was formed, separated by hostile territory. If we go this much distance in the west, we would reach Iraq & jordan, can pak & Iraq be one country, hell no !!!
Bengalis are absolutely different, with an ancient language & rich culture, with even their own calender. Indian Punjabis, Afghan Pushtuns, Iranian Baloch are simmilar to people of Pakistan....Bengalis are as different as arabs or berbers are for Pakistanis !!!

1.The problem is that most of our sources for reference are Western / Christian. That is why we are mostly left in the dark. The Palestinian Christian writer Eduard Said opened our eyes to reality. For instance, not much was known about al Andalusia till Tariq Ali brought that subject to light. In recent times translations work has begun from Arabic and Persian into various languages including Bengali and Urdu.

2. We now know that The Message had arrived in our shores during the life-time of the holy prophet PBUH. Sahabi Abu Waqqas, his uncle was sent to convey the divine Message to the Araba community living along the coasts in the maritime silk road stretching from Canton to Aden. The Sahabi stayed in Arakan, Chittagong and Sylhet region for eight years. His journey had begun even before the Hijrat ( around 621 AD). After his work here he went on to his final destination, China. On a visit to Guangzhou you can see the green colored mosque he had built - one of the oldest in Islam. I am blessed that I could offer my prayers thee during a visit. The local Chinese Muslims call it the Mosque of Our Ancestor, and his burial place nearby is called the Mausoleum of Our Ancestor.

3. On the other-hand, the first physical contact of Islam with the Indus valley was in 723 AD. But Qasim was withdrawn quickly before he could involve himself in the work of Dawa't. The real entry of Islam into present day Pakistan was in 903 AD when Amir Sabuktagin took Peshawar in 977 AD.

4. The Message arrived to us fresh, direct, in-tempered and uninfluenced. It arrived in the Indus Valley late with the influence of time on it. Moreover, powerful cultures like Persian, Byzantine and Assyrian had left their mark as a result. Therefore, we in BD have no sects, although for official purpose we say we are Sunni. But in the Indus Valley the situation is different. In Pakistan society, Islam is yet to get totally free from the influence of tribalism and cast. We in BD are proud that much like the Eastern Mussalmans, we have preserved and nurtured the Message exactly as we had received - in spite of all trials and tribulations.

Indeed my bhumari sher brother, you are right.

We think its the other way round. Worshiping graves and pir-ism was introduced here by Muhajirs. But these are going off.
Which sect most Bangladeshi peopel follow? Braelvi or deobundi? I have been in there mosques and they seem to be like braelvi

We Bihari Muslims still have Ashraf and Ajlaf system to maintain pure blood of Islamic conquerers. We fought for an Islamic nation and died for Fatherland of Pakistan there is the difference
Pure blood of conquers

This shit indian caste system really gave so much inferiority complex to many people that they started to claim something which they were not just to get approval/acceptance form others and to be part of elite.ruling class

Bihari muslims actually have some real claim, most of muslim elites there are of foreign decent. Things are not same in punjab maybe thats why you are thinking this way.

There is nothing Islamic about having this Ashraf and Ajlaf system to maintain pure blood ..sure Islam allowed married between Muslims of two races so there will be many native Muslims of this land who would have married with Muslims of middle eastern origin but again what is there to be proud off or to consider yourself superior based on this mixed marriage between two races and keeping foreign blood pure ..many our early janjua rajpout converted into Islam because they were against this shit caste system which Muslim still practice after converting then hwo they are different than hindus who are still this kumi.. this high caste shit
