1- mostly agreed. People assuming defeat of imperials and ousting of anti Pakistan setup from Afghanistan useless, either have limited understanding or, are part of some propaganda campaign.Say 10000 times that Taliban was a mistake I'll repeat a million times that they were the best thing among plathora of options
Remember after dying in Vietnam war with Vietnamese - shortly afterwards Chinese invaded Vietnam to keep them in check
That did not make Chinese support to VCP wrong- And they'd repeat it again in a heartbeat
It's geopolitics not black and white zero sum games
Crux of it - communists we're supported by China because they'll never become pro US, Islamists are supported because they'll never be friendly with either India or Iran
This is the fundamental rationale, it's solid but like everything you need to perfect it, work on it
Unfortunately it'll (Tali support) be one of those retarted opinions like that of we shouldn't have been involved with soviet's and should have let it be
I don't care for these opinions as they're dumb and lack honest insight in my humble opinion
On- topic
Dude FC paramilitary can fight them "fighting" is not the issue here, it never was
So a wrong question thus a wrong thread
2- with regime changed in Pakistan by Western establishment, the castle has been taken from within, regardless, if the flags are not changed. While the sons of soil still fighting enemies at wall, untill and unless, hostage situation in the power centers is not resolved, and indeginous people not take over, there can't be clear identification of friends and foes, within and beyond the walls.
3- People assuming use of military power ALONE to be solution.of terrorism in the region, are either too naïve or simply dishonest. Use of brutal military power (without political measures) would only enhance extremism, and thus terrorism.
4- Afghanistan has been a free for all space for decades. Consistent war has left no other economy than that of war, no means of livelihood for the people, other than war/terrorism. Only way to counter terrorism in the region is to;
a- deny access to the region to all those parties who have no interest in regional peace (they have always acted as peace spoilers)
b- develop some means of income to the locals so that they can get alternative to being recruited for terrorism.
(This exactly was the approach of indigenous government in Pakistan ( though description above is a bit simplified) before it was ousted by foreign initiated regime change).
5- Now that Pakistan has been taken over by the legacy of british era slavery association and their contemporary counterparts, the US worshipers, chances are we are going back to the violence levels of mid 2000s. So expect alot of propaganda in favour of another war on terror (or whatever they name it this time). Anyone standing up for peace and connectivity in the region and development of means of ensuring common interest in the region, which is longterm but ultimate solution to terrorism, would be painted as traitor by this foreign regime and their propaganda machinery, as that serves their foreign masters. Expect lot of jingoism, "inko eleminate kar do", "inko ki generations khattam kar do" and similar narrative, as if US war machine lacked some capacity to do that while their 20 years stay. And the worst part would be the useless loss of life , both civilian and the combatants, only to more catalyse war.
