SE Asia is a cesspit because of overpopulation. Sure you might get them daily recommended amount of callories so they don't die out, but what about jobs? There's theories going around that it will "forever" be poor precisely because of the fact that economy growth cannot keep up with population growth.

As there's a global crisis going on it is expected that there will be unemployment....SEA's unemployment rate is 13%.....EU's is 12%!Bangladesh's(poster child for overpopulation) is 5%!

Barely 50% of the population is a part of the labor force!If 40% of the entire population works part time that leaves 10% full time workers.But,Only Grameen Bank alone(out of many microcredit providers) has 50 million full time self employed workers and small business owners.This means there's no possible way 40% of the entire population of Bangladesh are underemployed!

I was trying to look for developed Asian nations, I could point out Taiwan, Singapore, UAE, etc. But you'd probably consider them the same.

The point I was trying to make was that different peoples from Asia have different breeding habits. Whereas your region is notorious for breeding like rats, the Arabs, Turks, Japanese etc, have lower population growth.

Turkey's birth rate is 18 in a thousand.Southasia is around 22-23 in a thousand.Saudi Arabia is 19.19.Egypt is 24.22.Syria is 23.52.Jordan is 26.52......Seems pretty similar to me.Japan is 8.3.So grouping Japanese with the Turks and Arabs does not make sense.
