How China has built major roads in Doklam (Satellite images)

You built the roads in your area and boasting here.

There is no construction in the disputed area and any constructions in this area will evoke response from Indian Army.

Chinese chickened out in Doklam and moaning here showing some pics of roads built in their own land.
LOL at the Indian openly deluding himself to numb the humiliation! :woot:

Even Modi cannot hide the humiliation anymore... shupa powa dreams are shattered...

Chinese IQ ?

Those roads are far away from the disputed land in which both the armies stood face to face recently.

According to Indian official narrative, the Indian Army moved into Bhutanese territory to abide by the agreement India had with Bhutan to protect its sovereignty. Chinese are clearly there and building their roads in the area. What happened to Indian commitment with Bhutan? After all, India supposed to look after the defense and foreign affairs of Bhutan. Are you abandoning Bhutan?

India stands on its stance and there is no compromise !

India has compromised. Now, India is not making a whimper as reality will deflate its boastful attitudes. The game is over and India has giving up stopping China from building roads any where in Doklam.

There are enough Chinese troops to prevent India from crossing the border there. So in effect, the standoff will only exist at the border itself. If it would only exist at the border, how could India stop any road construction short of firing shots, which you and I know India won't do.

NDTV - October 10, 2017 20:26 IST

Satellite images show two roads from Doklam which separately lead to the town of Yatung in the Chumbi Valley, where China bases the soldiers that it uses for its operations in the high-altitude Doklam Plateau.

- Satellite images show China steadily making roads in Doklam
- Some run a few hundred metres from Indian posts like Doka La in Sikkim

High-res satellite images accessed by NDTV show that China has, over the last decade, been steadily converting tracts of land in the disputed Doklam Plateau into full-fledged all-weather roads that run a few hundred metres from Indian posts such as Doka La in Sikkim. The satellite images show two roads from Doklam which separately lead to the town of Yatung in the Chumbi Valley, where China bases the soldiers that it uses for its operations in the high-altitude Doklam Plateau.

The state-run Global Times said this week, "During the Doklam face-off, Beijing intensified efforts to develop infrastructure in the region and road construction there will be a long-term trend."

India backs Bhutan's claim to the Doklam Plateau, which lies North of the "Chicken's Neck" - a narrow strip that links India to its northeastern states. Any roads in or around this area are a cause of concern for Delhi because they could give Beijing access to this strategically sensitive terrain.

------------------------

The irony is that if India had settled the issue quietly, China would likely have been prepared to make diplomatic concessions on the matter of road construction.

But now that India has turned it into a big diplomatic incident, the Chinese government has no other option but to speed up road construction in Donglang.
Why're you continued to:super::moil:our Super Powa brother, its so SO so cruel:fie:

Now for those Indian friends that has been betting your PDF memberships on if ever Chinese build the road again
Will you please start to paying off our dividends.......??:man_in_love:

Earlier flashpoint is because the road was built southwards towards the militarily-sensitive Jampheri Ridge area PLA already hold the north and east of the earlier face-off site for some years and regularly sends patrols to the area . As per the earlier agreement both side agreed to go back 180 meters from the standoff point Now the point here is you guys haven't started the road construction southwards towards the militarily-sensitive Jampheri Ridge ? so what are you boasting here

When are you leaving PDF like a man with honor, my friend? :dirol:

This is what it's all about. The chickens neck/Silguri Corridor. PLA is improving it's iroad network from Chumbi Valley past Dokla and south to Gymochen - which is the real target destination of the logistical infrastructure. I think this is exactly what PLA is doing right now and this is why India reacted this summer. However PLA has learn't from the summer incident and provide flank protection to ward off Indian Army. Then it has resumed construction of roads heading south toward Gymochen. Expect soon more then one road built south to Gymochen which will enable PLA to move large forces south to Gymochen from Chumbi valley thereby threatening Silguri Corridor. I think the Indian government privately have conceded defeat but they can't make it public. Instead Indian Army now will be forced to beef up it's strength in Silguri sector to insure against the posture that PLA will have [sat in strength on top of the Gymochen crest overlooking south toward Silguri] thanks to these new roads.

It seems strange that after all that noise from India about their Chicken's Neck Corridor, their "mutual defence treaty" with Bhutan, and the fact that they will never tolerate a road in Donglang, they have quietly allowed China to build multiple major roads there.

And what they say is, have you built the road yet? Where are the pictures? :cheesy:

Well their own NDTV obliged, here are the pictures.

@war&peace

@Jackdaws @ito @SOUTHie etc.

Have the authentic NDTV in its article pasted above confirmed the road construction in the earlier flashpoint which is southwards towards the militarily-sensitive Jampheri Ridge yet?

There was NEVER any agreement to stop road building.

Look at the official statement from the Chinese spokesperson, they said that all road construction would continue.

And you can see those satellite maps that NDTV got from Microsoft, Donglang is full of major Chinese roads right now, and construction is ongoing.

Can you show me in the Microsoft build NDTV accessed map that the Chinese built or at least have started the road construction southwards towards the militarily-sensitive Jampheri Ridge

I love the changing goal posts.

First it was, we are protecting Bhutan due to our mutual defence treaty.

Next it was, no roads in Doklam!

Now it's, well you can have a bunch of major roads in Doklam, just not this specific one. But if you read the articles, the road being worked on right now is the exact same road that Indian was complaining about to begin with. :P

But we have been consistently saying India's chicken neck being threatened before and now without any goal post shift :P my question still remains where in the article it says the road construction started southwards towards the militarily-sensitive Jampheri Ridge
