Hi. I am starting this thread out of mere curiosity since I have never met a Bangladeshi whom I could ask this question. Also I don't know many Bangladeshi members of PDF so I hope @BDforever would tag others for me. Thanks :)

Note: Please don't dig up our shared history between 1947 - 1971 while discussing on this thread as I have witnessed it to be nothing but mudslinging on both sides.

i don't know some how i believe it could have been another Turkey. Pakistan has worse political ideology when it comes to fight terrorism. Pakistan sometimes not co-operative when it comes to regional harmony.
For example: Pakistan is big reason for ineffectiveness of SAARC. even this time Pakistan gave veto in all SAARC co-operation like trade route, electricity co-operation etc.
this time Pakistan faced really tough time about electricity co-operation. All other members bang on Pakistan and finally Pakistan agreed on it.

Trade route was only beneficial for India, while other countries (except Afghanistan) already have this facility with India, Pakistan had nothing to gain from it while many things to loose. So, what's Bangladesh loss in it? don't tell me that you wanted to ship underwear to Afghanistan via trucks. Same is the case with electricity as energy resources lies on west of Pakistan not east.

Really? Please elaborate. Also do tag other relevant Bangladeshi members as I know none :(
My friend you are wasting your time on this issue, These Bengalis (Bangladeshis), will not move on with their lives, they all are stuck in 1971 and the war. They keep pretending ohh yes yes Pakistan is cool now, but I have been dealing with them for some time now, and believe me they all have this fantacy to really hurt Pakistan. They keep on listening to these lies of 3 million dead, No killed by Pakistan, they keep on listening 300k women raped by Pakistan army, so they are a nation which constantly live in the past and one which perpetually feels violated and abused.

Buddy, we Pakistanis have our own version of lies regarding East Pakistanis such as that General Elections of 1970 were nothing but a conspiracy for secession from Pakistan while other independent historians have countered this argument by giving historical proofs that East Pakistanis were only voting for more rights according to their population and economic output. Also Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was that rightful winner of that election and he should have been allowed to form his own majority government all over Pakistan, and only when our angelic Army refused, did war of secession began with Indian aid. So it was all our own corrupt leaders fault from bottom to the top. If Bangladeshis at large wanted to secede from Pakistan, why even participate in General Election with historic turnout of 63 %? :D

but we have few bangladeshi nationalism mentality members here too like @Anubis @bongbang

I think others are too nationalist but they act different because of their political mentality.
