The ship is owned by an Israeli billionaire. These cargo ships are always staffed by Indian crews and fly Panama/Bahamas flags, irrelevant. So what... the crew is not isreali... but good for 'expanding the theatre' narrative..

IMO, General Average rule would be declared where everyone (shipowner, charterer) bears the loss proportionately. The ship is owned by an Israeli billionaire. These cargo ships are always staffed by Indian crews and fly Panama/Bahamas flags, irrelevant.
The ship was leased from the Israeli-owned company to a Japanese company. Do you know how a lease works? If the ship (worth hundreds of millions of $) is lost, who pays? What are the consequences?
--> any ships linked with this Israeli billionaire will now find it much harder to receive insurance coverageIMO, General Average rule would be declared where everyone (shipowner, charterer) bears the loss proportionately.
In anycase, the Insurance clubs will be paying out all the parties involved and will then jack up the premiums.

Bad sentiment in the market will definitely hurt their business.--> any ships linked with this Israeli billionaire will now find it much harder to receive insurance coverage
--> the insurance premiums can become costly and deter other companies from wanting to lease ships linked with the Israeli billionaire
