48 countries, most of them are in Europe and South East Asia. And it was over the course of my life, the least visited region would have to be South America, although I have been to many of the Caribbean nation's.

Which region you found the most exciting and what region you had high expectations but was disappointed

South East Asia was the best region, although I also very much enjoyed my trip to the Balkans. South East Asia was just so alive, you'll be in a situation where you'll say you have nothing to do. It's filled with excitement and adventure.

Least enjoyable destinations would definitely be the gulf countries, minus Oman. I've been to all the gulf countries except for Bahrain. Oman was the only one that I found not only Interesting, but that I actually cried when I was about to leave. Oman the best Arabs country by far.

Alhamdulillah. I have been to Kebabish on Victoria Road, and to Behisht on Great Western Road. Also, to Village Curry House on Nelson Street. I think the food at Village Curry House was good.

I worked in North Lanarkshire too. I went to the University of Glasgow. Although, not for a very long time as I was working full-time. Alhamdulillah.
Bruv you're making me hungry [emoji24][emoji24]. I miss the foods of back home. It's just not the same in America. I miss Shaheds tandoori restaurants, the donner kebab shops, and most importantly the munchy box, I don't know if you've ever had the munchy box. That was life.

Where do you live now?

Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom.

I used to work for chawdary Sarwar's son, Atif Sarwar at the United Cash and Carry. And I've also worked in the Pakistani Consulate General in Glasgow. I worked with Dr. Saqlain Javed who was the Consul General when I worked there.

I have a co-worker who moved from Yorkshire, it's a bit difficult understanding their accent sometimes. And that's coming from someone who speaks Scottish LoL [emoji23]

I am familiar with United Cash and Carry. I still have friends in Scotland. I have been upto the Highlands and Inverness. Also, to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Dundee. I think Glasgow is more vibrant than Edinburgh. Edinburgh city is not big. I liked Edinburgh Central Masjid, and Edinburgh Zoo.

Alhamdulillah.

You are right, but there is the matter of time-scales and time-lines. We have a vibrant Indo-Iranian presence till as late as the 2nd and 3rd century AD; the Sakas, after them, the Pallavas, and after both, and over both, the Kushana, who ought to be classified loosely in this group in spite of their language being that peculiarity, a Centum language in the middle of the Gobi Desert. It was only after these empires wore out, with the displacement of the Kushana by the Ephthalites, that we start getting news of the Turkic tribes. There is a lot of time between the Bactria-Margiana complex (probably 2000 BC) and this drawing to a close (400 AD).
Pallavas are Indo Iranic people?

.
It was started as a slur but think about this. People from Afghanistan are called afgahns or Afghani, people from Tajikistan are called tajiks or Tajiki, people from Uzbekistan are called Uzbeks, people from Kyrgyzstan are called kyrgyz, and people from Kazakhstan are called Kazakh.

You're going to call a person from kazakhstan, kazakhstani or a person from Tajikistan a Tajikistani, or a turkmenistan a turkmenistani.

So why should people from Pakistan get offended to be called P@ki, it literally mean that the person is calling you Pure. How dumb do you have to be to get offended by that.

nope wrong .
It’s a racist slur , it doesn’t mean Pakistani or short for Pakistani as Indians and Bangladeshis are also called this in UK where the word originated from .

You knew the context of this word yet have been using a slur word against a different race to yourself to feel superior .

Funny enough, even though I've been to Edinburgh loads of times. I've never been to the Edinburgh central mosque.

Glasgow has the nightlife and museums and tends to be more of the economic center of Scotland. I doubt my kids would give as much importance to their heritage as I did. Especially considering my fiance is Lebanese, so the kids will be even more confused. But that part of life. Hopefully I can convince her to move to Scotland with me, cause I sure don't want to raise a family in America.

Annoying attention seeking would indicate that I forced any of you to come to my thread, I didn't, you all came on your own free will and chose to comment on your own free will.

The most ignorant mentality a person can have is to assume that everyone think just like he or she does.

Not all Pakistanis think the same, not all of us support the establishment, not all of us are happy of how the country had been a sh!thole whereas other poorer countries have surpassed it.

Not all Pakistanis worship the military, or ISI. Get that out of your head. We're not all the same.

I'm not a blind follower of anyone, I make my own analysis and conclusion, I don't need some establishment propaganda telling me who's right and who's wrong. Stop thinking of votes, think of the kashmiris.

Hahahahahah, you really are a narcissistic, self-important cunt. I didn't even mention the military or the ISI in my post. I said you were Pakistani.

Also, about the military/establishment. There are plenty of people on this forum who don't worship the military. I think one of the former mods here has said he doesn't like them, so stop thinking you're a special snowflake. The reason people actually don't like you is because you're ANNOYING. There's nothing more to it.

I wasn't born and raised in Pakistan and neither was my dad born or raised there. So I'm not going to pretend to be an expert in a society where I haven't lived. But I have seen Pakistani immigrants, I'm from the country with the largest Pakistani immigrant population in the world, so you can't say I don't have an insight into the Pakistani mentality.

For the last 4 years I've been living in NJ, a place with another sizable Pakistani community, but these Pakistanis are largely from Karachi and Hyderabad, and you can tell because of how well integrated they are here.

So I'm not saying all Pakistanis have the same f#ckee up mentality that I saw in UK. But unfortunately, out if all my trips to Pakistan in my adult years, I've seen things there that have put shame in myself for being partially one of them. And even when my father went to Pakistan the third time after a gap of 28 years, he said that these people will never change and that he couldn't tell what had changed for the better within the society.

That’s better .

its 2020 in the real world and you will go jail in UK if you call someone by the shortened slur word you been throwing around or get your head kicked in

Having visited much of the Gulf I agree everything is superficial there and expat orientated you get bored of the shopping malls, and extravagant buildings and airports however knowing few relatives in Oman and always wanting to visit there no 1 it's close to Pakistan and large population of Balochi which is quite interesting and 2 lack of the superficial crap other Gulf States are like these days how was the Balkans too, another region in my bucket list to visit shame that region has scars and once unified country like Yugoslavia does not exist because of Typical post Cold War nonsense but sigh so much of the most beautiful places in the world have the worst scars and tragic histories

I only like natural scenery. Hence, I did not find Dubai appealing. You see all this in Europe and USA.

USA I would agree since its basically a settler colony much like Canada,Australia and NZ,but the only region I find appealing in Europe is the Balkans

Nobody is better than another because of their race or lineage.
