HINDUVTA’S KILLING HINDUISM

The beauty of Hinduism is its tolerance and its capability of accommodating diversity of thoughts. An idol worshiper, anti idol worshiper, monotheist, polytheist, atheist everybody can call them a follower of Hinduism as Hinduism has philosophical backbone to accommodate all such apparently contradictory concepts. No body can tell that "this" is the last word of Hinduism.

Now the "fatwa" given by these self proclaimed masihah of Hinduism and trying to streamline the belief is what I think "Ïslamisation process" of Hinduism (where Koran & Hadith are the last words). The core concept of plurality, diversity , adaptability for change which actually enabled this religion to survive for 5000 years are being overlooked by these self proclaimed leaders of Hinduism

Actually, it is the other way round. Hinduism was being stripped of its plurality, diversity, and soul leading to a sterile colorless society where only utility and profit mattered. We are halting the narcissistic psychopathetization of the Hinduism. We are halting the Islamization of Hinduism where nothing is sacred except for minorities. Where principle of dharma is lost under a maze of rules. The modern deracinated Hindu like you was killing Hinduism and many many more turning atheists with nary a respect for anything Hindu.

isolated incidents and nothing compared to the 50 thousand killed in Pakistan over the past decade and a bit, apna ghar sambhalo before gloating over Indians fighting on tv news :coffee:
Isolated incidents? There is a long list of communal riots in India where minority is mercilessly killed, their women raped, houses burnt, and properties and businesses confiscated. Over 40,000 Muslim were murdered just in 1948 in Hyderabad. In Pakistan it took them to kill 50,000 over a period of 10 years. You folks are really shameless.

@Darmashkian you seem to think missionary proselytization is bad but ghar wapsi is good.. I dont understand why. Both should be allowed. right?
VHP and missionary are basically coca cola and pepsi and are expected to compete in same market. You can pick your favourite but both have right to convert.

I dont understand asceticism and anticonsumerism fad among some fringe hindus when I put a flower on plump goddess laxmi and wish I get more money so that I can consume more.. :p:

You forget the 3 million killed in Bangaladesh. Not to mention the millions killed during partition in Pakistan and then later in Baluchistan.

LOL. Hinduism survived because it is the most spiritual of religions. Spiritualism is not about rules if you have any inkling about spiritualism. Nor is Hinduism about asceticism or anticonsumerism. It is about finding the balance.

These are real good videos to understand how business fits into the Hindu context.

@SitaramVillas it was you who talked about consumerism in your reply to mamba... and blamed it for downfall of hinduism, I am merely asserting what we all agree, we all are diverse people with our own take on what hinduism is... except about eating beef (unless one is bengali/malayali in which case no-beef rule does not apply ) :p:

I did talk about where we as a society were heading, i.e. out of balance consumerization and narcissism. A society that was solely dependent on the left brain function leaving the right to atrophy. I spoke in the context of bringing the balance back and not about leading Indians towards asceticism.

And how did you come to the conclusion that it was 'retarded'? It's retarded only because you don't think it's true?
Said veteran cops has been in administrative positions for 40 years, do you not give some credence that he really is rattled that in his experience this is disturbing. It is not true only because the right wing says it's not?
Then why couldnt he justify the title in that article ?Thread is here where a writer from his own community refuting his points. What about that ?

My friend, I am not atheist at all. But I know very well the history and importance of atheism in Hinduism.

As a beginner , I will not recommend you heavy books but you can start with wikis"

The Rig Veda, the oldest of the Vedas, deals with a lot of skepticism when dealing with the fundamental question of a creator God and the creation of the universe. It does not, at many instances, categorically accept the existence of a creator God. Nasadiya Sukta (Creation Hymn) in the tenth chapter of the Rig Veda states:[9][10]

"Whence was it produced? Whence is this creation?
The gods came afterwards, with the creation of this universe."

The
Brihadaranyaka, Isha, Mundaka (in which Brahman is everything and "no-thing") and especially Chandogya Upanishads have also been interpreted as atheistic because of their stress on the subjective self.[11]

Samkhya is an atheistic[18] and strongly dualistic[19][20] orthodox (Astika) school of Indian philosophy. The earliest surviving authoritative text on classical Samkhya philosophy is the Samkhyakarika (c. 350–450 CE) of Iśvarakṛṣṇa.[14]:63 The Samkhyakarika accepts the notion of higher selves or perfected beings but rejects the notion of God.[21]

Sankhya is one of the ,most revered philosophy school in ancient Hinduism

On the top there is Charvaka philosophy which is considered the mother of all materialistic thoughts-

"Cārvāka, a materialistic and atheistic school of Indian philosophy, had developed a systematic philosophy by 6th century CE. Cārvākas rejected metaphysical concepts like reincarnation, afterlife, extracorporeal soul, efficacy of religious rites, other world (heaven and hell), fate, and accumulation of merit or demerit through the performance of certain actions. Cārvākas also refused to ascribe supernatural causes to describe natural phenomena. Cārvāka philosophy appears to have died out some time after 1200 CE"

"Madhava Acharya, the remarkable 14th century philosopher, wrote this rather great book called Sarvadarshansamgraha, which discussed all the religious schools of thought within the Hindu structure. The first chapter is "Atheism" – a very strong presentation of the argument in favor of atheism and materialism."

So if you want to believe "atheism is killing Hinduism" , please do not blame me . Rather blame the ancient stalwarts of our great religion like Shankhya, Madhavacharya etc

One Interesting information for you "Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the president of Hindu Mahasabha, described himself as a Hindu atheist"

Rig veda leaves the nature of god and universe open to interpretation. It is not atheistic. Of all the schools of thought you presented here only the Carvaka school of thoughts comes anywhere close to what is atheism today. Carvakas were gross materialists and not very popular and hence it died out within a few centuries.

Sankya does not reject the possibility of higher beings nor of karma. Whereas the atheist of today rejects the belief in Karma too hence their anything goes approach. So apples and oranges really. Anything goes is not Hinduism. If that was the case then dacoity, prostitution, pedophilia and anything and everything is Hinduism.

No doubt, the greatest virtue of hinduism was/is tolerance.
I see it getting eroded of late.
That is because we had enough of Tolerance,There is a breaking point for everything.
Only we are preached tolerance while others are left free to their whims.
If minorities cannot respect Hinduism and its ethos and try to Convert us by hook or crook. These sort of reactions are bound to happen.
There is no fire without a Smoke.

.
Dude that is their freedom of expression. We cant suppress them from making statements.Just ignore it or file a suit in
court against them. That is all we can do now.
Would you say the same when Owaisi or some other non-hindu makes a similar statement?

@SrNair Regarding Missionaries, I agree with you Let me tell the situation in AP from 2004-2014

In the last 11 Years.
Many people haven't converted because they wanted Jesus or that missionary nonsense. They converted for the facilities the missionaries were offering them & what the govt. wasn't :- the right to use schools, hospitals, money to pay for the treatment of their family members have better houses, moremoney etc.
[YSR very conveniently didn't do any development for the people, all to aid the missionaries]

And when the converts become the majority in a village or they convince the landlords to convert, it becomes worse for the Hindus in the village
I have read news reports(Telugu) of a family saying they converted so that they could get money to treat their son who was dying..
I have also seen ads from Sakshi(a paper owned by YSR's son Jagan) where missionaries are offering free surgeries+freebies for those who convert to Christianity & attend church for 1 month

Add to that the Government (Centre & state)under YSR(who is himself a Christian) actively encouraged them.. In fact under YSR they had the guts to target the 7 Hillocks of Tirumala Hills(the abode of Tirupati Balaji) where they wanted to build a church.
1)Evangelism rocks Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) again | IndiaFactsIndiaFacts
2)Evangelist Arrested for Proselytising on Tirumala -The New Indian Express
3)TTSS condemns ‘evangelism at Tirumala’ - The Hindu

This is happening NOW, So you can imagine how bad it was a few years back

YSR's Son in Law himself is a MIssionary!!![
Check this "miracle" of his :-

Some 10-15% of AP (Seema-Andhra) has converted to Christianity.. A large part of this entire section voted for YSRCP on the orders of the padre/priests. I heard that in some areas they forced TDP Christian supporters to swear on their Family members & the bible that they would vote for YSRCP.

& even after YSR's death with the approval of Sonia Gandhi & many other Christians in the Congress, they continued their work. After the victory of Modi & CBN, they lost govt. patronage & it comes till today

Many Missionary groups in AP & TG have been banned from working in India. Some 1141 of them if I'm not wrong.
Add to that they are having problems in obtaining funds due to the strict steps being taken by the govt. which is monitoring the flow of money from abroad to NGOs.

Also Dharmic groups have found their spirit & are actively involved in ghar wapasi programs across both states. :)
When YSR was around they received a thrashing from all sides & were tightly monitored to make sure they didn't pose any problems for the missionaries..
But now he is gone :)

Thousands are reconverting to Hinduism,.. it's not enough seeing the conversions that have taken place the last few years.
But it's a fantastic achievement seeing how inactive these groups were the last 10 years

& people are now reconverting because they have realised the lies of the missionaries. Also now the govt. instead of the missionaries(who lack money) will work towards development & giving them proper facilities :) .
And the lesser they depend upon the missionaries & the more development that happens, people will reconvert in large numbers with the ghar wapasi programs which are going on.

@wolfschanzze @itachiii @Srinivas

I highly dbt if any reconversions are happening in Tg..:( I have no clue of what's happening in seemandhra, the last I crossed tg border in to seemandhra was 3 yrs ago... though hindu right is growing in the state and i can see many new temples being built/ old tempes getting renovated, very ltl is being done on ground by hindu groups when we look at the damage done to the state. I feel that hindu groups emphasis is more on trying to retain the existing hindus and pushing them(hindus) to be more involved in there religious activities than trying to get back those who got converted.

problem with TG and AP is evangelists have got themselves involved in every sphere of our life... from politics to tollywood they are spread there wings all along.. of late u could see a lot of reference to christianity in every telugu film, which was not the norm a decade ago...

look at this bastard raja speaking ill about pavan kalyan.

he is among one of the top evangelists in the state today, i see his posters everyday on my way to clg near shamshabad calling for harvesting souls.. TBH evangelism is a mafia and a business in our state, all the top most evangelists are interconnected to each other this raja is relative of an ex-dcp of undivided A.P, and they emassed huge amounts of wealth from converting people.. there used to be a FB group "Ban christian missionaries" where the admin used to expose these missionaries and evangelists. one of the relative of raja and ex-dcp threatened the admin and active users to get us arrested, put in jail, and spoil our futures.:lol: the group was then deleted by the admin as he was from a middle class family and didn't want to get in to trouble..:(:( It requires time and humongous effort to uproot these anti-nationals..

Anyway, unlike seemandhra majority hindu population of Tg is hindu by heart, though it may take time, they will surely arise and correct all those evangelists and soul harvesters in a language that they understand best, I can't say the same abt seemandhra...:(:(
