Hindustan Times publishes fake news about Pakistan losing in UN ECOSOC seat

Earlier today bharatis were celebrating this "success".

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/india-re-elected-to-un-body-with-183-votes-pakistan-gets-1.502050/

But like other "choti choti khushiyan" of bharatis, this too was short lived and fake.

https://timesofislamabad.com/hindus...pakistan-losing-in-un-ecosoc-seat/2017/06/16/

What was the fake news here? I'm confused..this is the quote from the link you posted:

India was seeking re-election to ECOSOC as its current term is set to expire this year. Pakistan, whose term on the Council is expiring this year, too was seeking re-election to the UN body but lost as it got only one vote

So Pakistan was not contesting for the seat but was still seeking re-election?
And as far as the 183 votes and india winning the seat, seems true.
Pakistan getting one vote and losing also seems true based on the above quote.
Someone please clarify what is being celebrated here..

Indian media is the master in spreading the fake news.... i dont know when the indian media will grow up... and when will exhibit its maturity.....

Since when was Indian media reliable?
indian media is losing its credibility day by day.... even in the world its credibility of news is not accepted....

iss forum k Indians kahan chaly gye hn??
Indians are in shock on winning Pakistan in cricket.... they have locked themselves in houses... now they will come when Pakistan is defeated.... but this time Pakistan will inshallah win.... /yes

NEW YORK: Pakistan Mission in United Nations has refuted Indian Hindustan Times report about Pakistan losing on the United Nations ECOSOC, as Pakistan was even not contesting for the above mentioned seat.

Its the first paragraph. The paragraphs after that was just repeating the hindustan times articles.

Did Pakistan UN commission forgot to tell his staff not to vote for themselves[emoji1] [emoji1]

lol where are all those laughing now ? post no 21 is bursting your baloon yet again.

You want to contest your claim with cheap blog source against official UN website source ?

Again caught with their pants down

https://www.un.org/press/en/2017/ga11922.doc.htm

Agreed. Pakistani state is shameless indeed.

Only this month pak state ISPR claimed India targetted UN observers. The UN as usual categorially exposed the pakistani lie and published it on their website.

Yes pakistani state continues to lie through their teeth and gullible pakistanis keep lapping up the cool aid.

Have some shame pakistan.

Nowhere it says that Pakistan was actually seeking Re-Election. Voters can vote for any Existing member or a new member state. Pakistan was an existing member so got a vote. It doesn't mean Pakistan was actively contesting.

Let's assume that what you are saying is true and Pakistan was not seeking re-election. Then shouldn't Pakistan be voting for one of the members standing for re-election than voting for themselves, unless the one vote casted for Pakistan was by someone else other than Pakistan?

Pakistani lies exposed as usual. And they have the audacity to blame Indian media

True Indian media is not reliable. But they are independent to report as much as shit as they like... We dont report on ISPR reports alone  ........

Pakistani media propaganda exposed...........
