Obama isn't a ''bad'' person. I'm sure he's the type you could sit down with and have a cold (or hot) drink with and have good, civilized and even humoured discussion. He's just a politician trying to win his second term. No offense, but just look up Cuba's lifespan, GDP per capita, and literacy rates vs. those of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and they've been sanctioned for 50 years with no oil, no aid and very little foreign trade.

Just look up even North Korea's historical GDP/capita, compare to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh.

The strongest socialist countries are poorer than the strongest capitalist ones because most started poor, were sanctioned, and were allied with the weaker of the superpowers; Soviet Union spent hundreds of billions rebuilding after WW2 while US was unscratched and had bigger oil reserves.

Russia went from being as poor as Africa to major world powers in 30 years through socialism; China spent more time because we had more catching up to do, since we were twice as poor as Africans (with a GDP/capita less than 100 in 1950, vs. 178 in the Congo).

He is great orator no doubt, but we need a change in governance. Someone who can make hard decisions to turn around the american economy, I'm rooting for Romney as the republican candidate. But defeating Obama is a tough nut to crack.

i was watching Obama's speech last week he was slating China in some ways. He spoke about the need to end tax credits to firms wishing to move overseas and instead give bonus to those who bring back jobs to USA which sounds good in principle but in the real world lowering costs means lower wages and thats why Asia will still be looked on by many.

Council on American-Islamic Relations has been investigated many times for charges of helping and funding terrorism groups and inciting against non Muslims. Why they are still allowed to operate on US soil is beyond me.

Because they were NOT investigated for funding terrorism or inciting against non-muslims. The name of CAIR was leaked in some internal inveistgation that FBI was doing. They didn't even bring them to court because there was no evidence linking them to it.

The US is security agencies are so paranoid that it would be impossible to believe that any organisation with terrorism ties would be allowed to function.

Why are muslims un in arms, is islam not a judeo-christian religion?

Because if you read his statement, he explicityly mentions Islam as not advocating equaity along with other eastern religions.

And what is wrong with peacefully protesting about this? Freedom of speech is a two way street so there is no problem if Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and other mainstream Jews and Christians and people of other faiths and no faith condemn Santorum for making such statements. Infact, no doing so would be the wrong thing.

Islam , in its originality , gives WAY more rights than ANY major other religion (Abrahamic faith especially) ....

In 7th century , when Arabs used to bury their daughters alive , Islam gave these three "explicit" rights to women... :


1-Right to education
2-Right to property and inheritance
3-Right to divorce (even on the basis of sexual dissatisfaction )


Can this Santorum guy tell me where bible "explicitly" gives such rights to women? Remember , Islam gave these rights 1400 years ago in a tribal society !!!!!!!

Just a fun fact : If you read the medieval European criticism of Islam , one of the main 'criticism' was that Islam gives to much liberty to the women.
