You don't know TMC, situation was normalizing in Basirhat, state government even stopped further reinforcement there, then TMC's local MLA Diptendu Biswas allegedly had a meeting with local police and they started arresting only the Hindus who were under attack. Basirhat constituency has high muslim population! After the arrests Basirhat is again burning since last afternoon. Even extremely pro-TMC media houses like Anandabazar are also reporting the same, so you can imagine how blatantly skewed the policies and actions are.

Btw, mobile data was restricted in many parts of Bengal, even I faced it for one day after the riot started. At one point whole network was switched off for some hours........Reminded me of Kashmir.
