Lovely jubly. Some serious g pulls in the beginning. Been told that serious BVR engagements are happening these days between JFs and block 52s as part of the excersise.

Just curious, could you please enlighten us how a training BVR engagement takes place? Are real missiles fired and the aircraft tries to escape them? This doesn't seem likely because there is a high chance of losing the high value jet and the pilot in case the missile finds its way to the target... I am a bit confused. Please enlighten me

OK. But I was hoping somebody would say something like 'The missiles don't have an active warhead but it follows the same trajectory as a real missile' which still leaves the question open 'What if it hits the aircraft?' That's what's causing confusion for me.
