High Mark 2016 Motorway Touchdown

. . . .
Why PAF does not try the landing of JF17 on Motor way?
because it is air to air refeulable, i think mirages and F-7PG has a less range and a strike plane and primary mission of JF-17 air superiority along with F-16
i just my my opinion

Operational qualifications of each aircraft take a while. The Mirages are the safest in terms of "knowledge" on the platform, followed by the f-7P. Moreover, the issue of Foreign object damage is also prevalent. The mirages can take a beating from a stone thrown here and there and so can the F-7P.. and if they are lost to it; bad but not as bad as losing a F-16 or JF-17.

At the end, the Motorway is nothing more than just another runway and practice landings at that length are undertaken quite regularly. Dispersal from airbases is the big focus and for now the PAF has enough FOBs and other dispersal sites that it can use instead of the Motor ways. Their focus is currently at providing alternate recovery spots.

Motorways are fine to reduce vulnurability of location well known airbases by the enemy. There should be as many and as long as possible of such places in case some of them discovered and some parts of it destroyed if long enough other parts of the highway can be used.

Another option is to use assets like jf 17 from under mountain airbases. Better if it is further from brahmos range and well defended against other longer range cruise missiles.
