These are some Mughal era silver coins that I have. When I was young I used to collect coins , so I have a small collection of old Indian coins . These specific coins were given to me by my grandfather. I always used to wonder what's written on it. They have been with me since 6 years. Please help me decode them.

How can I collect them? Any place in India to easily get some?

Your first coin seems to have Arabic writing on it. Now decoding, it depends if Coin has been eroded and actually bigger previously. Because it either means 'Sultah' which is like government but if it is cut off at end it could say 'Al-Sultan' which is a name for God. I also can see 'Al Raouf' and 'Al Ghanee' which are all some of the 99 names of Allah. If I am reading it right, but it seems like that to me.

These types of coins are pretty easy to get on the internet and are cheap as well, just search ebay or google it.
But I haven't bought these. When I used to collect, it was more about fun to have something related to Indian history.
My grandfather gave me 6 coins, these 2 and the remaining are British era and Independent India era coins.
These are personal coins since my grandfather gave them to me.

Is it Arabic or Urdu ?

I don't know who speaks Urdu but for Arabic

@Rakan.SA @al-Hasani

Looks like Arabic words on first coin?
it says :
السلطان الحليم الكريم، الرؤوف على عباده ، الغني (؟) ما فهمت اخر كلمه

there is a saudi guy who collects historical coins and money il try to get his info and send it to him.
but hey if you end up selling it to him my commission is 2.5% :enjoy:

Actually I don't want to sell them . Sorry. I don't mean to be rude. :disagree:
It's kinda personal.
Btw these kind of coins are quite cheap on ebay.

Who is Sultan Hakim Karim ? Can't seem to find any info about him.

I can identify coin no.2 for you:

Silver rupee in the name of of SHAH ALAM of bagalakot dated 1819 obviously.

It's a scarce coin, worth good money if it's real.

The second coin I can't make out, haven't seen one like it before. Will share it with a friend who is also a collector and get back to you.
