A guy who collects coins told me they were fake. I didn't buy off eBay, I bought it in Kolkata from a guy who said that it was in his family for years, it seems !

On eBay ? No way to spot a fake ! I would say and recommend that you buy only from known dealers. Dealers who have a real shop outside too.somebody who does not have a negative rep.

Antiques in India are 99% fake, Once that that guy told me. I mean, he knows what he is talking about.

Can he tell me if these ones are real or not, and about history behind them. I am really curious.

These are some Mughal era silver coins that I have. When I was young I used to collect coins , so I have a small collection of old Indian coins . These specific coins were given to me by my grandfather. I always used to wonder what's written on it. They have been with me since 6 years. Please help me decode them.

Most of these coins which You have posted above belong to Southern India. The Bahmanis rulers of Daccan.

The first coin is of Ahmed Shah-II era and the period is from A.D 1436 to 1458. And its a Silver coin

you are better off asking an expert in the local museum
but I will give it a shot
first two images are related.

as was the custom in Asia to address the royalties in long names it seems the coin writing is doing exactly that

first says (about 70 to 90 percent certain due to missing bits)
Sultan
Haleem (maybe Furqan)
Raoof Ali Abadullah
Al Ghani Al Mohammad

so in short the name of a Sultan with maybe Haleem as a part of name or a praise for him being mild / forgiving
then his full name .. up to Mohammad

the seond image starts with Abu Al Muzafar rest I cant make out if its Al Abideen but includes the word Shah al Hind and Muhammad in the end.
