Ohh and in 60 years my friend, India would be the 2nd/3rd biggest economy in the world with also being one of the strongest military nation in the world. With Kashmir being integrated into India, to live peacefully and enjoy a tourism boost in the area, to benefit India economy.

I think it can be agreed that the whole kashmir stalemate is forever going to remain exactly that......a stalemate. Too much blood has been spilt on the " kashmir altar" for anyone to back off respectably now. 60 years of bloodshed can never be set straight. No viable solution can be attained without one party compromising and backing off.
This however is impossible without destruction of one party. The level of resentment is so apparant when even a common rickshaw driver would curse india for the extra drop of sweat he may have had to shed that day. Jinnah's dream of a friendly pak-india relation never flowered but rather de-volved into a theater of pain and tragedy.
What we can hope for at best is simply a balance of power so that either side does not gain an upper hand. Pakistan finds that its able to maintain that balance of power (at least a pseudo-balance) by relying on the chinese. Rest of the world underestimates pakistan while china does not. The true intentions of china are still unknown but loss of honour is far worse than death.

Excellent post. There is no point fighting for Kashmir. Any solution to Kashmir would result in mass destruction, killing of millions of innocent people first. It is in our(Indians and Pakistanis) interest to accept the current LOC as the international border. No one loses anything, no one gains anything.

No country in the world underestimates or overestimates any other country. Its all about interests. US had an interest earlier, so it donated and sold Pakistan with modern weapons. China has an interest in Pakistan today as a counter balance to India. China is playing safe and doesn't want to get its hands dirty. Its instead providing funding and weapons to Pakistan to fight, which in turns makes India buy more weapons. So China is just fooling India and Pakistan, while enjoying a great economic success quietly.
