YUP THEY ALL ARE POOR. Muslims in India are Not allowed to become Actors, Musicians, Singers, Politicians, Cricketers, Scientists, Engineers, etc. We treat them like ****.
The sad part is the Muslims who are poor in India are the ones who want laws like Saudi Arabia and don't want to work because they will not be able to pray 5 times a day.
i knew this was coming from someone. u cant describe the condition of a group of ppl by only referrin to few individuals. look at the whole group and ull see that most of them are living in poor condition relative to other citizens. no offence
well....just in some other thread on the maltreatment of women in pakistan...somebody posted some pics of successful women of pakistan...there were 4-5 pics...and he justified by saying that if these 4-5 can be allowed to achieve what they have achieved so can the other millions.
that was a good point...and very much appropriate here as well.
no. we have to accept the element of discrimination which exist in our socities.
Govt reluctant to release poverty figures
By Mehtab Haider
ISLAMABAD:
The federal government is reluctant to release poverty figures from the latest official survey to avoid any controversy during the election year.
"We are seeking data of the Pakistan Social and Living Standard Measurement (PSLM) survey for 2005-06 about income and expenditures, on the basis of which poverty is being analysed, a high-level official disclosed while talking to The News here on Tuesday.
But, according to the official, the quarters concerned are reluctant to give them the data collected through PSLM, causing delays in finding out exact poverty figures.
The official said the government wanted to release the data after the next general elections to avoid a new controversy over it.
