The Hawker 800XP (Extended Performance), the latest variant of the Hawker 800 mid- size corporate jet, offers superior performance
in range and payload. As an intelligence gathering platform, the Hawker 800XP can be modified to receiver specific frequency ranges. They include HF, VHF, UHF, and microwave frequencies. As a surveillance airframe, it can be outfitted with Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)

The military version of the Hawker 800 used by South Korea for tactical reconnaissance, surveillance and SIGINT (SIGnals INTelligence) tasks is called RC-800s, and they are based at Seongnam. The RC-800 is a militarized specialty version of the popular Raytheon Hawker 800XP, previously known as the BAe 125-800 series business jet. It has antennas added along the fuselage and radar/camera protrusions fore and aft.

Military VIP transport in Pakistan basically have pretty much the same requirements, so why all these different aircraft? We have citation, Embraer, Dassault and now Hawker - I don't get it.

Just to add that PAF also operate one CN-235 in VIP configuration.

Pakistan Navy's First Special Mission Hawker 850XP Delivered

Hawker Beechcraft Hawker 850XP - N982XP (c/n 258982) seen at the ramp at Glasgow-Prestwick International Airport, on August 14, making a brief stop on its delivery flight to the Pakistan Navy, which has ordered four of the type. The aircraft had left Wichita, Kansas, on August 5 for Addison, Texas, but then did not leave there until August 13, when it flew to Gander, Newfoundland. The next day it continued to Prestwick before flying on to Istanbul, Turkey then onward to Pakistan for an official hand-over ceremony. It will then return to Texas for complete outfitting as a VIP transport. the remaining three will be configured for special mission-aircraft, although the precise nature of the special mission equipment is unknow.

here, this mght give you an idea:

The first of four Hawker 850XP aircrafts ordered by Pak Navy was delivered in mid-August 2010, for an official handover ceremony, the aircraft was then to fly back to the USA for the VIP fit-out. The four aircrafts are to be used as VIP transport.

our naval staf should be criticised for last 5 years they are still unable to buy submarine for pakistan navy which we are darely need and our all naval helicopters are all ols sea kings our navy need lots of equipment and latest not old P3c type we need atleast 10 to 15 new helicopter few heavy lifters too and few new ships and subs but our naval staff still buying rubbish pieace of metal worth of 20 million which was of no need at that time this money should have been used to buy 2 new helicopter like lynx

"Three Agosta 90Bs were ordered by the Pakistan Navy in September 1994. The first, Khalid (S137), was built at DCN’s Cherbourg yard and was commissioned in 1999. The second, Saad, assembled at Karachi Naval Dockyard, was launched in August 2002 and was commissioned in December 2003. The third, Hamza, which has been constructed and assembled in Karachi, was launched in August 2006 and was commissioned in September 2008.

The third submarine is being fitted with the MESMA air-independent propulsion system, which will be retrofitted to the first two."

PN submarines are respectively 2,4 and 8 years old. If any subs are needed, it is as fleet expansion and certainly not as replacements.

If NATO navies like the German navy operate modernized MP3C Orions, why wouldn't it be good enough for PN?

And who are you (expertise-wise) to declare EW variants of the Hawker 850XP to be "rubbish". The South Korean navy operates them as well. Do they tend to buy rubbish?

i believe by "spending 20 mil on rubbish" he meant the first bird dedicated to VIP transport not the later EW variants. So just relax, try to stay calm and analyze more thoroughly before you start bashing others. The EW variants would obviously be a great addition to our navy.

We had incorrectly reported in August that Pak Navy has ordered four Hawker 850XP aircrafts.
Pakakhbar has been informed that Pak Navy has ordered only one such aircraft, which is intended for multi-mission role.
