I am talking about a concentrated den of no-gooders. They exist among other religions of India too.

The point is to isolate them and deal with them effectively.

Majority of muslims are fine and I wish them well like any other citizen of India.

I am totally against systematic authoritarian response like what China has done with Uighurs (and Tibetans before that)....because past the sheer immorality, it leaves many more problems in the long term psyche of the people affected. If its war I would rather an actual war and each side does it openly.....insidiously imprisoning everyone of a population for actions of a few is just way worse thing, its very low thing.

I will be first one to stand against Indian govt when there is actual clear neutral remote sensing evidence of detention camps of vast scale for example. But instead people like arundhati Roy are free to openly talk about breaking up India in all kind of tones she uses....so I know we are very far from it.

Closest we came to strong authoritarianism where things were done on vast scale illegally by govt was by Indira gandhi actually.....and multi-party environment today is actually a result from that overreach. There are lessons BJP (and all parties) know from it deep down...it keeps them contained no matter the power they accumulate today. God bless our institutions and larger populace that act as check and balance for it.

I dont believe hate speech even exists (since it cannot be objectively defined given "hate" is subjective to begin with). Please dont post crap from washintonpost, a libtard fake news source with agenda (proven time and time again). Yogi never said that, he shared stage with some guy that did. It is regrettable such stuff happens, but people can then also call for tar and feathing of Obama for sharing stage (and repressing it till it leaked well after he became president) with such people like Louis Farrakhan (and I hopefully dont need to post what that guy has said about jews and other communities).

Yes I condemn it completely. Hate speech (and other "problematic" speech defined by any group) does not exist. No one should be arrested/charged/imprisoned for mere words said. I am totally allied by conviction to US 1st amendment as the best basis to have for anywhere.

Freedom of expression however is not absolute (whereas free speech is). When you call for criminal action (on specific individual or individuals) or you commit a direct tort with words, it becomes "expression" rather than speech, and that should carry penalties.

Rule of law is different measure of different indicator to what I am saying. The US simply has the maximised personal freedom anywhere in the world (in the classical liberal mold developed during western enlightment) given 1A and 2A. It doesnt exist anywhere else in the world. Neither can any "index" fairly capture and represent that in my opinion since its a threshold frontier rather than simple realpolitik application/situation. But frontiers are important to the downstream reality too...since they define the operating space.
