Well I'm going to tell you but you are not getting awed by the militant killing or that shit. Muhammad ibn Abdul wahab was born in 1115 H and in that times Saudis were slipping to worshiping statues and graves which prophet Muhammad banned . Muhammad ibn Abdul wahab was living in a religious family and he read the Quran and knew the people were breaking away from the true Islam so he went around teaching people what the Quran and sunna said and ibn Saud was religious too so he invited him to his town and the rest Is history. Wahabism is a term made by shias just to label when are actually normal Sunna like Egypt , UAE, Kuwait, and morocco. They made that label just for foreigners to take it as terrorists group lol

The name doesn't matter much here more than the unprecedented wave of terror that was unleashed in the world, which used a certain ideology to justify it's inhumane crimes. ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Nusra and a plethora of other satanic groups had one thing in common and those responsible for security in their countries are definitely wary of that. Even the Saudis are trying to disassociate. This ideology is without a doubt a significant security concern for countries around the world. Many mosques were shut down in Western countries because they found that they were being hijacked and western youth was being sent to Middle East to join terrorists. Muslim countries around the world are trying to dissociate themselves from this menace. Even the taliban went after some salafi scholars in Afghanistan. Whatever you want to name this phenomena, it's real and continues to be a security threat.

No there is no such a thing as Wahabism sect in Islam or the Arabian puninsula people don't follow this movement because it doesn't exist Its mostly used in the media by some Shia agenda to attack Saudi Arabia in particular, Some journalists would have you believe Saudis practice a sect of Islam called Wahhabism without 1 proof it's all rehiotrucs with unbelievable claims. In reality nobody identify as Wahhabi or even know what that is its only to attack or separate Saudi Arabia from the rest

Well, some simple googling will let you know, Bangladesh is a country with 98% Bengali ethnicity, 90.4% Muslim, more than 80% hanafi sunni, almost all millenials are literature, no tribalism, no feudalism, no casteism, no militant political ideology that challenges our current governance system etc...
