Aselsan has developed instrumentation that is only found on Block 70 variants of F-16.

This is the image is from cockpit of latest F-16 Block 50+ in service with Turkish Air Force, fresh out of TAI facilities. So we can safely say, Aselsan does not have access to Block 70 instrumentation.

Aselsan has developed several instrumentation found only on Block 70 F-16. Here are some of them, you can match up with the Block 70 cockpit above.

So what do you guys think, is Aselsan positioning itself to offer modernization packages up to Block 70 standards extending F-16 useful life beyond 2030 ?

. . . .
If Pak is allowed to get such upgrades in near future for it's own fleet from Aeslan along latest version of AMRAAM then things shall become interesting. The chance have some how improved as credible news is there that India may be considering to allow twin engine jets to compete for future requirements instead of only Gripen or F16 block70 (single engine jets).

The only thing missing on Pak side is perhaps sincerity and capable foreign minister for effective bargaining with Trump administration if USA is not able to get Indian contract.

Pakistan will not be allowed...likelyhood of getting Lockheed Martin upgrade project is way more

That's what is in front of every one but in 90's late Benazir was able to get Eu equipment after full restrictions by USA even we got cooperation from French and Italians only due to her foreign contacts/foreign affairs superior skills. We have whole bunch of people which bring some relaxations/advantages for Pakistan like Khurshid Kasoori, Abida Hussain, Shah Mehmood Qureshi or even Mushahid Hussain Syed who is already working on CPEC and has worked for number of Pak defense matters in the past. The only problem is they are from opposition and our Govt may sacrifice national interest over damn politics.

Yes, on this picture you can see Aselsans laboratory setting for avionics development.
On the left is F-16 cockpit and on the right is TFX cockpit, note posters on wall.

Nice picture @Combat-Master , thanks. I can't seem to make out much detail in the posters. Will the TFX have a traditional HUD on top of the instrument panel or will it just have a large panaromic display like the F-35? I guess with the Avci helmet with integrated VR HUD it doesn't make a difference but I'm curious about the traditional glass HUD.

A charismatic and educated foreign minister can do and a prime minister can do wonders. Current foreign minister is a corrupt patwari.

Well hard to say, still didn't see the AESA radar. When we have a radar with all the avionics we have a half Turkish fighter in our inventory. I think we must upgrade our F-16 to test our abillities before we make a TFX. But don't forget i think our upgrade will cost us much more then the Americans are offering.

F-22 utilises both HUD and HMD, TFX could potentially also have same configuration..

AESA radar is definitely in development, there really isn't much left now, AFAIK..

Electronic countermeasures are already on Turkish F-16 (SPEWS-II), perhaps upgraded version of SPEWS-II might be necessary for future
