Sanskrit is as closer to persian as Bengali is to german. Both belong to Indo European language family and similarity ends there. Vedic Sanskrit (which was a complete different language than classical Sanskrit) was very similar to avestan, an eastern Iranian language unlike persian which is western Iranian language and not direct decent of avestan.You could replace Persian as much as you want, only if you realize that Sanskrit has been introduced in India by the same (Indo)Iranian people who invaded India, and that the language is closely related to Persian.
In any case, you will still use a non-Dravidian (original Indian) language.
