But looking at the humility and kindness of the Great Demon king Mahabali ... Lord Vaman gave permission to visit his people once a year...

Keralaites believe Mahabali used to rule Kerala ... so we expect him to Visit our houses ... so we treat every single person coming at our house on Onam with great respect thinking that he may be our great king Mahabali ... even if a beggar comes in our house that day we wont leave him empty stomach ...
