Its Nepali new year and now since someone mentioned it you are quick to claim it.

BTW Nepal is technically a Hindu state but they are nowhere near Indian attitude viz a viz faith

That is "Vikram Samvat" a Hindu era based calendar, like the "Shaka" Hindu era calendar.

By the way, I have this Calender right now with me. (I can send you if you want. I will have to take pic of it though.) This calender along with Panchang is used to fix marriage date and any religous work as well as festival. All this happen with this calender. Its our calender so we claim. Without it we wont have any festival.

I think you have some calender too called Hijri? Right? And as per Hijri It is 1432. Am I right?

Anyway here is some information for you guys about This new year

Its a Nepali calender 2068 BS (Bikram Sambat)
this was started by a king named Bikramaditya when he migrated to Nepal from Subcontinent in the paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssst and started the calender

yeah.. according to this calender only the new year was in 4th april.

I have no concerns if its popularly uses in India or not my only point here is that its Nepali OFFICIAL Calender and not Indian.

Yes we have Islamic calender through out the Islamic world based on hijrat (migration) of our Last Prophet (PBUH).

Are iajdani,integra, eastwatch and the members from Bangladesh; Hindus??
But they are celebrating New Year as well.

No. The person can be from different nation of different nationality. A Muslim can be Arbi, Pakistani or Indian or whatever. Same applied to Christian and Hindus too. A Hindu of India or Bharat is Indian or Bharatiya. A Hindu of Pakistan is Pakistani and of Nepal is Nepali and of Fiji is Fiji National. No matter what is Religion it will belong to the same nationality where they lived. So you can with Pakistani Hindus too a Happy New Year.
