I am not supporter of homosexual marriage but in India you could get arrested for being homosexual is absurd.
I wish Government of India should allow homosexual marriage but barred them from adopting children.

interestingly till DSM III homosexuality was considered a psychiatric illness. not much has changed since DSM III other than this issue, it is now considered a normal variance.

If you're a Muslim, know that what Allah and his Messenger (peace be upon him) have deemed moral is what is indeed moral. Our perceptions and biases which are shaped by media, culture, political agendas, time, etc. along with our inherently flawed human nature can never surpass divine wisdom and revelation. If you believe the Quran isn't the word of God and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) isn't a divinely inspired Messenger, you are free to make your own judgments in accordance with whatever you deem sound. Otherwise this verse should suffice:

"It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair." (33:36)

Those who don't believe this book is divine and timeless in it's wisdom will opt for deviant baseless interpretations of scripture due to their deviant desires. Extremists on all sides will butcher the Religion to fit their desired goals. But as a believer, no one can ever take your natural inclination to truth away from you. It's your Fitrah.

As our Prophet (peace be upon him) taught us to say every morning and every evening:

"I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion, and Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet and messenger."

My heart sank when my 12 yr old nephew asked me what is gay? and why are people celebrating gay marriage being legal in US? I am really sorry but i am disappointed at people in Pakistan celebrating a behaviour which is taboo even in animals. I wont hate you if you are gay but i will certainly NOT CELEBRATE IT. Stop trying to justify homosexuality under the banner of "universal love". And please, we have bigger issues in the world and in our own country than trying to make normal and natural what is abnormal and un-natural. Gay marriage does not mean "human equality". Stop mutilating the concepts of human equality and justice. Tolerance means tolerating something...not celebrating it. Whats next? Legalising and celebrating incest?

but allow them to marry the next thing they demand will be adoptions

Ontario school starting this school year will have a revised sex-ed curriculum which include introduction to sexual orientation from grade 3, Which means 3rd graders will taught about gay lesbian sex.
Every TV or Radio Host, politician and anyone who is anything starts their speech with praises to gays first.
I am starting to feel like Gay sex is normal and I (hetrosexual) is not.

What is legal or illegal in the US has no bearing or jurisdiction on the rest of the world. US laws are for USA and its citizens only. What's next will be determined by US citizens according to their own legal process, whatever it might be. Why should anybody else fret about that since it does not apply to them at all?

IMO our society is very hypocritical when it comes to sexuality. Of course homosexuality is forbidden in Islam, Judaism as well as in Christianity. But does it stop village mullah’s, catholic priests etc. from doing it? Homosexuality has also been quite common among Afghan culture. There have been many jokes about Nawabs preferring boys over girls. I saw a TV program about homeless street children of Karachi where a teen age boy freely admitted that each time a new runaway boy arrives, older boys sodomize him.

Nevertheless, it is difficult to have a serious debate about Homosexuality or sex for that matter in Pakistan or with most of the Pakistanis. In this very forum, sometime ago in response to my post I got the reply:

“How come you know so much about homosexuality”? The innuendo being that I could be a homosexual! IMO this attitude being an escape route to push the problem under the carpet.
