Hamid Mir Attacked | TTP Claims Responsibility

Still doesnt count as an evidence, just because he said so on his death bed. Mind it , it was not the statement he gave before leaving the house, this statement of his was recorded few days ago.
And before we blame anyone, we must have an evidence.
If we allow such things, then any yhird man on the road can say I blame PM if i die in a road accident because he failed to regulate Traffic laws....you get the point now????
I am asking for evidence. Mere statement is nothing, and even a judge cannot call DG or chief of an institution just by mere threat
His prior statement can be treated as a dying man's statement - nobody lies in such grave situations, my reading is that ISI botched it up - they wanted it to look like a routine attack, mistakes happen and ISI has probably botched up number of them before.

What are the consequences of it will be known in the future, but I don't think anything will come up against the ISI because they are untouchable in Pakistan as they are above law.
Does make a lot of sense when he categorically mentions to his family that he is under threat and if he is attacked than it has to be treated as done by whom he refers to, but then I don't see anyone going to the extent of endangering his life to increase his ratings. Pray tell me, how does him or his brother or his channel targeting the much beloved ISI improve his ratings?

I too agree that it is too early for anyone to pass a judgement including me too.

you'll see the consequences of this non-sense blaming the problem is our funded payed media... abhe aglay ko goli nahe lagi this JEW group start blaming ISI... and asking resignation of the Chief of State Top Intelligence... mazak banaya huwa hey in do do takay kay anchoroon nay... have u eva seen ANTI news by American Media against CIA? or Indian Media against RAW ? ... ye freedom of Speech kay chakar may they are continuously blaming disregard disgrace state Military... the only muslim state left with such strong military might.... Not correct, you can go ahead and call someone a criminal or traitor but it is up to the state to decide if you broke the law.
case in point

Additionally, in Musharraf's own words in court.. he referred to people calling him a traitor.. if he wishes he can take defamation action against them. Why does he not?
any one can take on his behalf, but are you ready to come to pakistan?
do you feel safe, with your over eduacted mbrains walking in a court room & then just falling down some where in between, by a bullet fired by a mullha , to take out your priceless brains ?
only then , i guss you will know , what it means to be a pakistani? right?

If a terrorist sympathizer and an Al Qaeda sympathizer cries over allegations like ISI is the boogeyman. Tell me who would you support? A person who idolized AQ or the TTP? I wouldn't. ISI isnt the only enemy he has, trust me. A LONG list of people. From MQM, to TTP to ISI to normal terror victims of Pakistan.

But one cannot be sure, just yet. The best way to cause issues for a 3rd party was to strike now.

See, it's very simple to dismiss a possible straight forward targeting as done by a 3rd party to gain maximum mileage by tarnishing said accused agency, but simple semantics suggest that one doesn't need such complicated tactics to achieve that, and if it indeed it was a 3rd party attempt at maligning the force than I believe that they didn't plan it right or did a shoddy attempt at doing it because no one seems to believe it's true. They possibly didn't do a good job of creating a bad image for ISI.

But then what about the victim? do the investigators run around in search of this possible 3rd party or do they spend some time investigating someone who the victim actually thinks is the one who targeted him, because lot of people are already dismissing the victims apprehensions.

Nobody is stopping them but marsha dear, you have to see that media and lawyers are stepping out of line, forget about US and UK, talk about correspondents in Iraq and Afhanistan, jow many of them are given security???
Have you ever seen or witnessed any analyst on CNN or Fox news trying to dictate judiciary or policies of a country.....
why are you always furious:undecided:
i believe Journalists should be given freedom to practise their profession ....without being tortured or threatened....we already have a very bad reputation in the world for being the most dangerous place/country for Journalists to carry on their activites freely here...so many have been killed in the past....i may not agree with them or may have strong opinion against them but hey killing is not the solution...

Whatever floats your boat.

Pakistan has very salty waters.

So anything does float :p:

Regardless, one question which I posted was essentially ignored. Are we to consider that an agency where some of the best trained(in many aspects) from the military are recruited.. failed to take a proper shot with a small calibre weapon at less than 10-20 yards range?

Infamous media wing of ISI headed by Navy Admiral. They are famous for inviting journalists over tea and making vile threats. Perhaps Mir made that video after he was invited over tea?

What I saw on twitter India trends, there are some people who have perception that it was IA/ISI who attacked Hamid Mir.

there i agree:agree:....but how would you stop them? by killing? what's the difference then left between the Talibani extremist mindset and the others?

How can one be overeducated? Or are we calling a Prophet Mohammamad (S.A.W) a fool(astaghfirullah) when he said that if you have to gain knowledge go all the way to China?

Essentially, thinking that there is something as over-education means that you consider Islamic teachings to be false. :what::bad:
here we go again?
dumboos like you who keep living in thier panaroid overeducated lives, are the reason why , these croupt politicians are in power in pakistan, cause they can hire a dozen dumboo,s like you , to do a counting for his shoeses?
or to find a suitable farm for his ausrralian cows?
there is no point , taking you dirty thoughts to holy prophet?
dont try to bring holy prophet & good religion , islam to protect your dirty arguments, its a sign of really over educatednspineless coward?

You do know that UK & Pakistan's legal precedent are different ..Right ?

and no you cannot call someone A Criminal , Traitor or any other words which is derogatory to his position or effect his lifestyle or harms him in any way physiologically without a possible return Suit of Defamation ,

Here is what is written in Pakistan Law

  • Defamation is of two forms namely: (i) Slander and (ii) Libel

  • Any false oral statement or representation that amounts to defamation shall be actionable as slander.

ISI has turned out to be a rogue agency with no accountability.

There is suspicion, but no proof. What makes you seem so certain, Mr. Majestic Indian Sherlock? Have you cracked the case?

In any case, Hamid Mir's coverage of Baluchistan problem, missing persons cases, and unwavering support for democracy has created many enemies for him, including (perhaps) some in ISI. For that one can not call the whole agency rogue.

Do understand that blaming ISI could be a ploy to ensure that ISI uses its resources to nail the perpetrators.

A lot of people dont believe Hamid Mir anymore. Gone are the days when he commanded viewership. Now all he has is one channel reporting it. NO other channel is reporting anything about Hamid Mir. This goes to show his actual status in Pakistan. If it were ISI do you think now at this crucial junction would they do it? When all the eyes are on them? This is a simple question that answers pretty much everything.

The victim is an AQ sympathizer who openly accolades the extremists, what befell on him is his own doings. Not anyone else's. He reaped what he sowed. If you look up at the fb feed of Pakistanis, most are against him. I am telling you from a perspective that is Pakistani.
