Jordan has turned down a request from Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal to visit the kingdom, sources in Amman reported on Tuesday.
The sources said the Jordanian authorities told Mashaal that he was currently “unwelcome” in Jordan. The authorities explained that the circumstances that led to Mashaal’s expulsion from Jordan have still not changed, the sources said.

According to the sources, the previous decision to expel Mashaal and other Hamas leaders from Jordan was no longer security-related.

“The decision to prevent Mashaal from visiting Jordan is now politically motivated,” the sources said.

In 1999, Jordan expelled the Hamas leaders and closed the movement’s offices in Amman. Then, the Jordanians accused Hamas of meddling in the kingdom’s internal affairs. Mashaal and the Hamas officials were expelled despite the fact that they hold Jordanian citizenship.

Mashaal was hoping to visit Jordan to congratulate a senior Muslim Brotherhood official, Zaki Bani Ershaid, who will be released from prison on January 4, 2016.

Bani Ershaid was sentenced to one year in prison for “harming relations” between the kingdom and the United Arab Emirates – a Gulf country that is strongly opposed to Muslim Brotherhood and its proxy, Hamas.

In 2012, the Jordanians permitted Mashaal to briefly visit the kingdom, where he and some top officials of the movement met with King Abdullah.

Apparently, this was one of the conditions of Israel for renewing ties with Israel.

Remember when Hamas moved away for Syria & Iran towards Qatar and Turkey? Now look how they were cast away.

Turkey is not a country to be trusted. They did the same to Algeria, she voted against her independence, provide France with ammo and soldiers...Who ever ask for asylum , in that country is a dimwit, like the Hamas guy has just discovered. Jordan too, they even ban Machaal to enter the country.

Well done Turkey, get rid of all Islamist terrorist leaders. Let him run to Iran or Syria. Hopefully Israeli drone/fighter wont rain some missile/bombs on his head like they did with his other terrorist friend in Damascus recently. :pop:

I remember no in a distant past the UK was the main hub of the terrorists, they were so welcomed and sheltered, that they added a STAN to London. In this world somebody terrorist is someone else Hero.
Israel planes, as much you are in awe in their performance [for you at least, for most of the world , it is an aggression] didn't dare to violate the Syrian air space and fired the missile that killed the Hamas guy from the Israeli airspace.

For now they are the most trustworthy by far...At my knowledge they haven't occupy any country or forced them to accept their military bases like the UK or the US..

Nope Hamas is a terrorist group who intentionally targets civilians and justifies it as a legitimate target for the 'liberation' of Palestine. This is different from Israel's and Russia's military operations in Palestine and Syria who are not intentionally targeting civilians. So yes Hamas is a terrorist group, I have no sympathy for terrorists. :)

What are you oN about?? Russia hasn't occupied any country or has military bases in countries outside it borders?? LMAO. Dude you really need to inform yourself and go ask eastern Europeans/Balkans countries what they think about Russia, you will be surprise/shocked by their response.

Just because your country is farrr way from Russia and they sell you weapons doesn't means you should think they are some kind of holy saint out to save you people.
Plus who said U.K/U.S FORCE COUNTRIES to have military bases on their soil and miraculously only Russia hasn't?? :cheesy: I can see you have a lot of biased against western powers like U.S/U.K and obviously France(your former colonial master). Its understandable though judging by Algeria's history. But times have changed dude. You need to let go of the past and move on.

What do you want me to say...firstly this guy was out of Turkey long ago. He is like foreign diplomat and travels commonly. Nobody kicked him out. False reports published by Israel which Iranians are latching unto. I never even heard of him before Israeli's began talking of him.

Secondly, Turkish-Palestinians ties are one of civilian solidarity. Regardless of Hamas or AKP, the civilians sympathize with each other and these mutual feelings are unbreakable. But as far as Hamas-Turkey ties. Again your reports are premature and false. Go see in this thread, your Israeli brothers are crying and complaining:

Turkey wants unrestricted access to Gaza from Israel

Nothing has changed. The siege is broken or no serious reconciliation. Not sure what people here are celebrating. They obviously can't take pride in their failure of nations so they have to find satisfaction somewhere else. Yet they just wasted their time on false reports. The Palestinian people have gone a lot and nothing will break us. Hamas won't go down either, no matter how many Sisi's arise.

Btw, you make it sound like you Arabs are good towards Fatah. You guys got all the Fatah leaders killed in your countries.
