well, the Su-30 has more Indian systems than the JF-17, so...
JFT has no indian contribution.......because its flying if indian systems will be onboard then we know what happened to teja.

.
JF17 is specially design for PAF, its customized product. The production speed of Tejas is extremely slow make it less threatening. IAF can't wait that long to get those Tejas in numbers, i think JF17 is more matured than Tejas. Is there any indeginous weapon system for Tejas? BVRRAM or WVRRAM? or ECM pods? Radars? Engines? it can't stand huge consumption during war facing giant like China. You buys everything to make it a hot pot. If India counts on Tejas countering PLAAF and PAF, you are doomed. Where is that Kaveri engines? end of the story? The really operation cost of LCA(be maintenance, weapon system) is far expensive than JF17, you just forget to count it in.

The figure of 26 million per is a fake at the very obvious.

.
In war time, China could produce hundreds of Jf17 in a incredible speed for PAF if needed. How India is gonna deal with it? WS13 will be operational in year 2015, which means JF17 is fully owned at that time. Do India has any plan to indeginize LCA right now? The answer is probably no.

We have AESA and IMA plan for JF17, more composite material will be apllied if PAF asks. Tejas is outgunned and outnumberred. The only choice is bet on Rafale, you don't have anyother choice.

The price we offering JF17 to PAF is only 15 million USD, much cheaper than LCA. The export price pegs around 25 millions, still cheaper than LCA.

JF17 project is supposed to support Pakistan strategically not for making money.

Offering??? I thought JF 17 was co owned by Pakistan and China.. How can China offer Pakistan JF 17 for 15 million ? :)

Welcome to the forum, child.

You will learn alot here..but I hope you channel your excitement in a positive way.

Also, why people are surprised here? I thought we knew all along that Tejas MK1 will be $25 to $30 million a piece.

Whats the big deal here?
Given by the past record of LCA, there was no guarantee that the planned price points will be met

The production cost is 15 million USD, so they have to pay 15 millions. Basic financial calculation, what's your problem? I think it might cheaper produced in Pakistan.

What China concern is Pakistan could produce JF17 at the lowest cost in Pakistan.

What is the maximum production rate for JF-17? What about the engines? Will China supply the jest to Pakistan for free or how is Pakistan going to pay for the jets?

Any evidence to show that China is selling FC-1's to Pakistan at $15million/piece...

As the half ownership, pakistan has the right to purchase JF17 at cost price from China.

There was no Pakistan back then, only hindustan. Hindus got r@ped..shameless hindus that is. My ancestors, who were courageous and dignified, stood up for their rights and LEFT a barbaric system that divided humanity into castes...made humans "untouchable garbage", and told women to burn alive when their husband dies. My ancestors accepted the system of equality and justice..which did not divide humans into sub-human categories.

I hope you would think that. Raping Kashmiri Muslim women goes well with indians and your army.

Current Pakistan is composed, other than of Punjabis, of tribes and peoples who conquered Delhi and defeated indian armies...Search of Khilazai Pushtun tribes. So yes, Pakistanis DID rule and/or defeated indians in the past--again and again..but then again, it is stupid to use the word 'Pakistan' since nation-state is a recent concept.

And no, it is REAL humiliation for you to have signed an agreement of stalemate with a nation SEVEN-TIMES smaller than you.

In all previous wars, W.Pakistan (today's Pakistan) defeated a larger nation and forced it to sign stalemate with it...

In 1948 , Pakistanis got THE MOST strategically important lands in Kashmir. Pakistan captured population centers of Gilgit , Skardu etc and secured access to central Asia...Cutting India off from Central Asian route..and hence containing poor indians in useless gigantic plains .... Where India would've got entire Kashmir due to Hindu treachery ...it only got some parts..and that too which are strategically of very less importance...and made even less important due to Indo-Pak water-accords ..

In 1965 , Pakistan defeated Indian attack on Lahore city and forced indians to retreat , captured strategically important Indian towns like Khem Kharan , captured strategically important Indian supply-lines like Muna Bao railway station , PAF just badly blasted the a$$ of five times larger IAF , and all this eventually forced India to face the humiliation of signing an agreement of stalemate with SEVEN TIMES smaller nation-that was badly outgunned and outnumbered during the war... Your OWN media back then called it as "giving a walkover to Pakistan."

In 1999 Kargil war , just 5000 Pakistani troops+fighters got 30,000 indian soldiers with their pants down .... We slaughtered the f*ck outa your poor troops...At the end of the war , Pakistan captured strategically important Indian heights such as point 5353 , Dalu Nag , Saddle Ridge etc etc..We STILL hold these Indian territories ... We over-look NH-1 and Indian supplies to Siachen...

So in every war against W.Pakistan (Today's Pakistan) , Indian forces have faced humiliation from SEVEN TIMES smaller nation..When indians faced their EQUALS...they were a$$-raped by Chinese But Pakistanis faced SEVEN TIMES larger nation and stood their ground pretty...

180 million Pakistanis contained 1200 million indians ...and THAT is humiliation.

Bangladesh was a CIVIL WAR and your OWN general said that if wasn't a military victory of india

They were escorted. Senior members here have confirmed this. Even indian members who have connections in military confirmed that Su-30s entered Pak's airspace and were locked-on by F-16s immediately and were "let to return to india while the beep of F-16 lock ringing all the way" ....

And indian migs never dared to cross LoC...you bombed Pakistani soldiers that were in indian territory. Big deal?

When indians did cross LoC however, they got shot down right away

Zaid Hamid 2 in making. Carry on.

Why does Pakistan need to pay China any money, apart for the RD93 engine which China is procuring from Russia and some Chinese avionics. Doesn't Pakistan have the complete manufacturing rights for the JF-17 Thunder?

ws13 engine will be there for backup
the maximum production rate is at least 48 per year if we buckle down.
Our top priority is to ensure PAF has enough fire power to counter India, money comes second.

100 JF17 only counts 1.5 billions, not that much compared with the aid to African countries.

As i said, PAF has the right to procure JF17 at cost peg cause they own half of the intellectual property. it is about 15 millions per.

Has JF-17 been tested with WS-13 turbofans?
At 48/annum, its 4 FC-1's per month. In case of Indo-Pak war, the window period is on weeks, which means a handful of FC-1's that can be delivered at maximum. Hardly will have any consequence, looking at the present asymmetry in the force levels of India and Pakistan.
Also, transportation and delivery is another matter during the time of hostilities. The Karokarram highway will be first to be taken out of service. Transport by sea will be lengthy and high possibility of Indian interception.
Then, there is a matter of pilot training and logistics etc.

It's not about money, its determination to reinforce your ally's existence ability. If PAF is perceiving any substantial risk of breaking war with India, China could produce JF17 for them in the term of soft loan. The top priority is to ensure the national secueity of Pakistan, everything comes second.

PAF shall have some lead time for preparation, i just assume it. i don't think IAF has the ability to take out Karokarram high way, it means war with China.IAF can't stand for two front war, that's for sure.

China will own 2000 units of 3rd gen fighters in year 2020, not including J31 AND j20. How you gonna deal with two front? China is able to mobolize at least 500 4gen/4++gen fighters against India if needed.
