Turbo prop is very old technology, It has 4-5 cylenders, same number of pistons and one propeller, I think if one mass produce it, it can be made in few lakhs, but 3-4 Lakhs no, A good car engine cost 2 Laks. This ammount is EMD not cost, The cost will be calculated for bulk supply. ...

What is APU??? Is it Auxiliary Power Unit, yes it is...

Let me talk in common man language: In old bikes (Bullet, Rajdoot, Yezdee) the headlight, horn didn't work if bike engine is not running. Now a days we have APU (Battery Cell) in bikes. Similarly in fighter planes, ship, vehicle we need an APU (engine, battery,fuel cell) which can be used to generate some power even if engine is off.

An EMD is Earnest Money Deposit. It does not mean the cost of the thing is 3 lakhs. Think about it like the cost of an application form.
