Gujarat: 114 Pakistanis are Indian citizens now

For every 10 Pak citizens heading to India there are 100,000 Indian citizens lurking in Karachi neighbourhoods. Not counting the Bangladeshi, Rohingya etc etc.
Are you counting the Mohajirs and the East Pakistanis that were loyal to Pakistan in your 100000?

Millions more have come even since 1980s. Forget about 1971. Listen to the video from 3:00 onwards and find out how millions of Indian's have been "pole vaulting" aka Bangladeshi style into Pakistan even as late as 1990s.

*And circumstantial evidence confirms this. Illegal migrants send money back to their home families. India is the destination of one the largest dollars remittances from Pakistan. I am sure your going to find excuses for this but this is a fact whether you accept it or not.

"Surprising as it may seem, but Indians who have migrated to Pakistan are expected to remit back home a staggering $4.9 billion in 2015. This would make Pakistan the fourth largest source of India's remittances this year, according to a new study by the World Bank.

Another interesting statistic the study throws out is that the Bangladesh-India corridor ranks third in the list of top migration corridors behind the Mexico-US and the Russia-Ukraine corridors. Bangladeshi migrants residing in India are expected to remit $4.6 billion back home in the current year"

Perhaps this can make you rethink about the story that you made up, this happens when one is brought up on a steady diet of lies and deceits.

I hope Tamil refugees from Lanka are also provided citizenship. They are waiting here for too long. All the best in safe Mother India, a refugee for all mankind.

Unless you have a cheese burger in your hand or are a woman... then its lynching'n raping time in "mother" India

I did not make any story. Steady diet of lies and deceits? I was brought up in UK you plum so have not been exposed to Pakistan education system. Indeed I struggle to speak Urdu (although I can get the gist of what is being said) and I cannot read Urdu whatsoever. So shove that suggestion you made up you know where.

Back to the topic in hand. It still hands notwithstanding the lame attempt by Dawn to soft soak this subject - check out where it is published from and it's primary management/market. Let's look at this WSJ article.

“These are two big economies right next to each other. The money must be flowing,” Mr. Ratha said. “That number we put out could even be an underestimation.”

The Dawn article that you posted is desperately trying to cover this up. Okay let's go forward with the suggestion that Dawn makes. It days the figures are based on estimated of Indian origin demography from 1947 in a blatent and cheap attempt to cover this up. Okay lets move forward with this theory. If the $4.9 billion is WB estimate of India orgin migrants from 1947 then how about the darned Pakistan origin migrants who moved to India in 1947? Would the WB model not churn ot similar figure to balance that out?

What they don't tell you is huge number of Indians moved to Pakistan post 1980 and most of these are the behind the huge remittances to India. Not the now historical 70 year frayed connections.

You actually believe that $4.9 Billion Crap. Given the history of our 2 countries such a large amount of Money Flowing would have raised some serious red flags in the govt and intelligence agencies. People wont have reacted after reading an article in the Wall Street Journal

Even the defending article that you yourself has posted clearly quotes the author of the report

"It is an inexact science" Mr. Ratha said "The bilateral remitance are basically made according to assumptions"
"These are two big economies right next to each other. The money must be flowing"

He clearly says that he is pulling the numbers from the place the sun does not shine

The basis of this assumption he says is the large number of families split on both sides of the border. I find that very hard to believe. If the person had money to migrate he will be taking his entire family not leaving half behind. Yes there could be some 5-10% cases of split families (those living in far off villages or something) but that would not be this high. Plus after 70 years of hostile environment there will still not be such close family ties that you send money for a niece's wedding or an uncle's operation

no where in the article is there a mention of post 1980's migration. Please give some official pakistani govt report or some credible media report (Indian or Pakistani - not foriegn press) giving huge number of migration post 1980's

Scant credence will be given such fallacious claims. Regardless of whether your kind was indoctrinated in Pakistan or in the UK you are likely to parrot the same sentiments.

As an Indian poster has already mentioned some of these are just trade payments routed through Pakistan, while the rest are just advances to the business houses in India that propagate your sinister agenda in our country.

There is also the small matter of the methodology of calculation adopted by the WB. You refuse to accept Dawn's point of view, now will you also do the same for the other media houses in Pakistan which share similar views.

Anyway, this loss of valuable foreign exchange should be of grave concern to Pakistan which is rapidly spiraling towards a Balance of Payment crisis, why don't you do something about it that is if you could do anything at all!!

Take this and shove it up your you-know-where..
