DRDO
Design and development of three stage 5:1 pressure ratio all Blisk fan for 75/110 kN thrust class engine.
Mass flow rate 85-87 kg/s
Pressure Ratio 4.8-5.0
Isentropic efficiency 83-84%
According to aviationweek
MTOW of AMCA-20t=196.133kn
T.W.R at full afterburner=110*2/196.133=1.12
T.W.R at dry thrust=.76
is there any possibility of supercruise using these power-plants?
IMO,ADA has chosen trapezoidal wings to It enhances supercruise at same or lower thrust and able to increase the margin.
nice try but here......
power of engine is 75kn. So approximate ~8400kg of thrust.
while 2 engines....
so total thrust.....8400*2=16800kg,
while 20 ton is MTOW not combat weight, so combat weight will be little low (~16t) so by dry thrust it have 1+ TWR (same as LCA).
Supercruise also depend upon a/c aerodynamic, let us see what DRDO can do this time.
GTWE also put 5% upgrade possibility.......... I think AMCA will esily cross the criteria of super cruise.
HAL assemble Al31FP not making it, hope you guys understand.
You don't have the core technology to build a engine, am I right?HAL assemble as well as manufacture few parts of Al31, while few are imported from Russia. hope you guys understand.

AMCA looks perfectly compatible for supercruise flight.
