Do you remember the post you wrote below?

Exactly, tourism could be huge for the Saudi economy and it will be eventually!! The new generation is very liberal compared to the older one, and expect Saudi Arabia to change dramatically very soon!! The red sea coast is one of the world top water and the weather is great!!!

A interesting and probably for all very surprising fact: There are 1150 islands along the Saudi Arabian Red Sea coastline.

"There are plenty of untapped opportunities to promote tourism through the 1,300 islands in the Kingdom's waters. While 1,150 of them are in the Red Sea and 150 in the Arabian Gulf, only 405 have distinct names and been surveyed by the Saudi Geological Society," said a member of the JCCI Tourism Committee Khaled Fahd Al-Harthy.

Also I invite you and others to check this thread out below. Especially as a Egyptian you can relate to it since we both border the beautiful Red Sea.;)

Also I really hope that a bridge will be made between KSA and Egypt as once planned. Both parties must make it official though and start the project. It would be great.

Yes, indeed.

Just imagine if future resorts/investments were made in just 10% of the 1150 tropical Saudi Arabian islands along the beautiful Red Sea.

I don't know how many islands there are in Egypt, probably a lot less, but if just a dozen were made there it would even further boost the economy and tourism.

Anyway connecting two major neighboring Arab countries such as KSA and Egypt with each other would be a great thing.

In general I look forward to a much better infrastructure in our region. I like the projects in the GCC in that department. But we have to wait and see.

There is unfortunately turmoil in Egypt right now and the ME is always a region of uncertainties.
