The anchor sounds so butt hurt. The EU and the west in general did allow India to become a global pharmaceutical export nation, mostly because it was cheap. With covid doing so much damage, we'll see a lot of western and European nations rethink their medical/pharmaceutical policies, and start moving production in house, for long term security. In Canada, New policies are being set to make sure Canada can produce vaccines and vital medication in Canada, and not have to rely on foreign nations.

Second, India didn't supply Europe with medical equipment and medicine for free, it was a business transaction. Stop pretending that what India was doing was charity work, it was not.

Third, blame your own government for its incompetence; Indian medical experts were pleading for months that India was running out of oxygen, and that the industrial use of oxygen should temporarily be stopped and diverted to hospitals. Guess what happened? Modi literally ignored them, because his excuse was that it would hurt India's economy.

Funnily enough, the US did have a pandemic plan, but Trump scrap it when he came to power, because he said it was a waste of time and money.

In Canada, a similar situation, where there was a pandemic plan, as well as vaccine research funded by government, but the previous conservative government destroyed both, saying the same thing as Trump, a waste of money and time. Right wing conservative politics just destroys lives.
