Graphic of India and Pakistan's underwater nuclear deterrent

Babur 3 is just the beginning and demonstration that what PNS can do within its limited resources.... The range will be increased and SLBM will be also be incorporated once first sub with VLS becomes available. Pakistan will have range to attack the farthest point of India from Persian Gulf.

Key points highlighted. In the short term, Babur 3 presents limited strike options for Pakistan.

Klub class missiles are nuclear capable.

 since when ?

Brahmos IS nuclear and Submarine launched. Whether you like it or not. Tests are complete. Issue is the VLS/UVLS systems from the 75I is not ready.

Under MTCR no nuclear capable missile can be exported.. That's why even Brahmos aka yakhont has a range of 290km..

Read MTCR.

Agreed about Babur 3. As a weapon system, Babur 3 has less or no impact on India. Around 350 Km is the EEZ of any nation. Babur has 450KM reach. So making sure the delivery system want to remain silent, it will stay out in International waters to make the hit. Pretty sure Mumbai and Vizag will be high in the list. Mumbai already has the S300 and Akash ABM system in place. soon it will get S400 as well. So yes, Babur 3 has to go a long way to be taken serious by the Indian Government. It is not a slight. Pakistan is taking the Israeli route. Commendable.

India has neither S-300 nether is akash that capable considering even Indian military doesn't want it...

Also kiddo tracking a stealthy SLCM isn't that easy..

P.S; Babur III is just a step ... More to come.

No need for false bravado!

I suppose youre more fixated on the analogy than the actual outcome.
You and I both know that an SLCM is not the solution to this Strategic problem. It does not provide the "security blanket" or balance that Pakistan is looking for.
The rest is perspective and I'm not going to get into that.

False bravado? Really.. You think you will survive a nuclear war ? Only cockroaches will...

Those who survive will be effected by radiation and famine .. Neighbouring countries will also be effected....

Forget all that for a second .. Tell me do you seriously think Babur III is the end of it?

We have been hearing about it since years and one fine morning we have an official launch....

Same goes for Babur II ASHM.

MTCR says you cannot sell a nuclear warhead. How do you restrict that to a nation that already has tech for warhead.
The entire point of warhead is miniaturization of the process. Once done, the delivery system is adapted. Would you like to roll on the floor once more crying this time?

Brahmos was always 600Km plus ranged ones. How, read some articles about it.

India has s-300. For quite sometime.

Akash is in service for quite sometime. Not sure why your feelings are in picture.

I do not understand what kiddo tracking is. But, seeing Babur 3 is a very short range missile, it is easier to track the limited number of submarines PN has. Every wondered by India is increasing the P8I numbers?.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to describe my sentiments using another analogy...
And SLCM is like a knife and a ballistic missile is like a gun...both can kill, yet one does more effectively...and at greater ranges with more destructive power.
What you're suggesting is that Pakistan will risk a full on nuclear response by using a cruise missile to serve a strategic purpose.
What's even more bizarre is that the second strike ability is to guarantee MAD once your current nuclear arsenal is destroyed. Do you honestly believe that an SLCM with limited ranges and warhead will serve this purpose?!

As far as your second point is concerned, no I do not think that this is where Pakistan will stop wrt to missile development.
But that's exactly why I clearly stated that the current development does not offer much except to serve egos until a credible guaranteed second strike option and vessel to deliver the same is achieved.
Since both of those things are YET to be achieved, the Babur SLCM is not huge in the strategic calculus for india.

You can feel free to disagree.

Originally, the MTCR was limited to stopping the proliferation of nuclear-capable missiles, which was defined as a missile able to travel at least 300 kilometers with a 500-kilogram payload. Five hundred kilograms was considered the minimum weight of a first generation nuclear warhead, while 300 kilometers was believed to be the minimum distance needed to carry out a strategic strike. Members agreed in the summer of 1992 to expand the regime's objective to also apply to missiles and related technologies designed for chemical and biological weapons. That change took effect in January 1993. The move effectively tasked members with a making a more difficult and subjective assessment about an importer's intentions, as opposed to denying a specific capability (a missile able to deliver a 500-kilogram payload at least 300 kilometers), because many more missiles and unmanned delivery vehicles could be adapted to deliver lighter chemical and biological weapons payloads.

LOL since when export variant aka Yakhont has a range of 290km.. only P-800 Oniks has a 600km range.

India has s-300. For quite sometime.
And my dick is bigger than the eiffel tower.

The pics of the so called indian S-300 are of a soviet Styx mobile launcher
That's a Styx mobile launcher ...

The S-300 was offered by Russia in 2004 but not bought ...

This credibility of this pic has been busted several times by even your own members and even on Indian forums ...

Even a layman can differentiate between a s-300 (with different tube styled launchers) and a soviet made Styx coastal defence missile

Christ.

Ok

India a country that already developed warhead miniaturization not capable to weaponizing a platform where they have JV with. Even a wiki page glance will do you better.

Brahmos - P800 - Yakhont. You are confusing yourself. Take a cold bath.

Not commenting about your self pleasuring.

The entire defense community is being fooled by India on having a S300.

On March 2016, news about the ordinance board doubling the amount of missiles production is also out. Indian Army is not Indian Armed Forces. Indian Airforce still is a user. Indian Navy has other weapon systems in its disposal as well.

Please continue deluding yourself. Out of loop.

Which warhead kiddo? JV my ..... Brahmos is a Russian exported missile produced under tot by India ... Even yakhont used by Russians isn't nuclear capable let alone an export variant non compliant with MTCR.

Yakhont is the export variant of P-800 oniks .. Exported to Vietnam,Syria,India etc by Russians.

:coffee:

For someone who is clueless about what your talking about you sure like to rant. India bought s300 back in 2011

http://thediplomat.com/2013/08/indias-missile-defense-is-the-game-worth-the-candle/

"It bought S-300 anti-missile platforms from Russia, developed long-range, phased array radars in collaboration with Israel and built guidance radars with French assistance."

FYI we are getting s400 in a few years

Pakistan have to increase their range in order to compete with India

"Pakistan has opted for the shortest development and deployment route"

Depending on whether there is a approved blueprint for the 8 Submarines Pakistan is buying it has/had plenty of time deciding the designs of it's final nuclear triad.

Pakistan doesn't need a SLBM, just a minimum deterrent. And it'll get help in accomplishing that.
