What is wrong in ethnic based provinces? For God's sake make provinces. Be it ethnic or administrative. Haven't we learned anything from Bangladesh. Hint: The country's name is based on Language. Forcing people to adopt your flavor of Pakistanism after just 60 years won't succeed. It would grow by evolution.

All Indian provinces are divided on ethnic basis. Is India a divided country?(except for its North-east). I actually support new provinces. There's nothing wrong with ethnic provinces. We're all Pakistanis at the end of the day. Punjab should be divided into Seraikistan, Punjab central, Bahawalpur and Potohar. Over the past 67 years of the country, there hasn't been a single Potohari chief minister and only one seraiki.

Oh yeah. So insurgency will force you to think that there should be some new provinces or country within a country on ethnic basis. Guess what we had an insurgency solely on this basis and we handled it "very well". Hint: Fall of Dhaka.

It's all politics , after failures & failures issue after issue , PTI needs some issue domestically in Punjab to push itsellf in the southern part , shah jee is just doing that ?lolzz

Punjab = Named cause Punj means 5 aab means rivers = Land of 5 rivers

Sindh = The name "Sindh" is derived from the Sanskrit Sindhu, a reference to the Indus RIver that passes almost through the middle of the entire province

Balochistan = is named after the native Baloch tribes who inhabit the region and use Balochi as their Native Language

Except for their North-east and North-west, there's no major insurgency anywhere. The commie insurgency there is not an ethnically motivated one. As for countries within a country; Pakistan was never a homogeneous country to begin with, neither was India. We're a federation, and pretend to be as such.

Secondly, I'd rather exist in a divided country than get ruled as a frontier "barbaric" subjects by the corrupt elite of central Punjab. Central Punjab is arguably the most corrupt region of Pakistan, much given to gunda raaj and a culture that glorifies criminality and badmaashi. Punjab has literally given us nothing other than this shia-sunni fisaad, something which is alien to our culture, and land grabbers and hardened criminals. And btw, did you know how we became "Punjab"? It was through the conquest of Ranjit Singh. Before that, our land was never called Punjab.

PS: And if my words offend anyone; I simply don't care. Pakistan doesn't mean its Ranjit Singh's empire. And no, Seraiki and Potohari are not merely dialects of Punjabi, which some greater Punjab a*****es preach and lie about all the time.

Well they rightfully divided their Punjab into Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, did all hell break lose there? The country closest to Pakistan is India, when it comes to diversity of language and culture. We were supposed to be a federation, not a kingdom-esque country which we are today.

Also, you want Gilgit Baltistan to be an independent province, free from the Islamabadi yoke. What do you think of Seraikis and Potoharis who literally have no say in political affairs of the province. Why should we be condemned to the mercy of Lahore forever? We Potoharis are still better for we once dominated the army, and were smart enough to go to other countries, but Seraikis suffer from Balochistan, interior Sindh style poverty, while most resources are spent on central Punjab by its(and hence our) corrupt elite.

They can't be compared with GB. It's their problem if they don't have a say in how their province is run.
That being said i support new provinces, but not on ethnic basis. If they don't have a say, they should make sure they do. Stand up against this discrimination or whatever.

Yes. That's how shit works. We can't make a province for every group. That would simply divide this nation. Is this what you want to see. Provinces for every group?
