but sir , government always need taxes . in the subcontinent , people are not in a habit of paying taxes for nation building , moreover corrupt politicians dont encourage them to do so and if some politician or government tries to do that , they have to search difficult and painful ways to garner money through indirect taxes . important part is , the collected money is used rightfully for the benefit of nation , and imran khan seems to be an honest person ( although it is my perception , i dont know him personally ) .

There is another problem Govt's in South Asia are
extravagant to the core.Their non-development budget is mammoth.

Brent crude at 57 dollars a barrel.. UAE is a rich country, they can increase it if needed and wont affect that much. In Pakistan everything revolves around oil prices. Everywhere there is mafia and they use it to their advantage.

First the prices are not getting lower, second they will be adjusted upward as expected and required and third what is silently increase price mean???
Were they expected to do Mujra to announce increase in price? Wait now when Rana randi queen starts her Twitter machine...

They need to tax the rich and recover looted money. And the thread is not mine so dnt know why he calls it silently, more like a shock to everyone

Everybody is paying their share of taxes, filers and non-filers alike. Indirect taxes will need to pick up the slack when direct taxes are not levied. There is no other choice for the nation, no matter who is in government.

At least govt. have a choice to deliver public service to public against those taxes!
So i hope to see public transport, infrastructure, health system etc. better than UK, because taxes are far far more in Pakistan and i hope you know it!

I am not supporting any madness here. No matter who is in power, they will have to balance Pakistan's books. Raising tax revenue must be part of the solution, no matter who or how. This is just common sense.

Than Imran Khan should send the bill to Iran, instead of passing it to the poorest nation.

So you actually didn't knew... that every Pakistani pay taxes!
What Imran Khan has done is lowered the taxable income and increase the tax amount, while devaluing Pak rupee to 100%.... and you just are calling his acts as book keeping and a must to do things!
If this is so than all of previous regimes have been doing the same, with a difference that their rate of increase was far far lower than Imran Khan, who is still in his first year of rule.
Last but not least you clearly are also clue less what's the purpose of taxation... which is nothing more than extortion if not spent on betterment of social infrastructure, which range from education, health, transport, law and order etc.
