This incident has proven 2 things. First some people are more Pakistani than others and secondly in Pakistan capability of person is irrelevant and their personal beliefs are more important.
We all are Pakistanis something we all need to understand here, there is no more or less Pakistani. But hIS removal is also not a big deal this post was nothing.

Regardless this decision goes against one of PTI's major principles. Iam a PTI supporter on its principle. After this decisions i don't think i'll be as vocal about PTI as i was before because they cave in to a small extremist sect. while disregarding the prosecution of that minority.

Nation choose him and he must choose what nation wants.we will adjust another person.

Bitterly disappointed to read this. If PTI doesn't have the courage to protect minorities against Internet trolls and bigots, what expectations can we have that they'll stand tall against other threats?

More disappointed that Pak robbed itself of a resource that has no equal. And that PTI has caved into majoritarianism at the first sign of trouble. What this means is that it won't be able to take the tough economic decisions to pull Pak out of its current financial troubles and Pak will be back, bowl in hand, to the IMF and other international lenders.

I'm just hoping that they only caved into pressure for public consumption, but that Asad Umar will take the counsel of Atif Mian and has him on speed dial.

Economy needs fixing. So lets work with 20+ other people and fix the economy. Instead of washing time on minor issue's.

Bringing dalla dollar dar is more important than not appointing one individual.

I am all ok with this decision. Har Ek ko apni jaan aziz hoti hai so IK and party’ major leaders. They saved their life to scarify Atif Mian i.e Neya Pakistan wadd geya. And a very wrong message go to international community.
Yet my all best wishes for Purana Pakistan where Jinah’s Soul must be more sanded today.

Yep agreed people on both side are making this an issue but actually this decision was like hiring an expert to advise. People who all are post against atif mian consumes many products produced by non Muslims and giving them business and are making a show on one post which is of no importance irony.

Look bro we are all going through a phase of nation building like IK himself have said many times, unfortunately the previous rulers were uneducated or less educated corrupts like Nawaz and Zardari and their only interest was making money as much as they can and in process they have wasted some 20 precious years of our country. We as a nation lack principles, we only talk about principles but when it comes to doing them practically we hide our faces. We need to fix mindsets and approach of the nation and this cannot be done overnight, it will take time, it will take time to make our nation understand that merit is the only criteria other than anything, this hypocrisy wont go away in days it would take years, the problems of 50 years cant be solved overnight, Militancy, extremist approach lack of merit, corruption etc etc are huge problems and they will take time, education and dialogues are the only way forward.

To all quadianis think of them selves what ever according to the law of Pakistan they are not Muslims but a minority. Now there was nothing wrong in giving him an advisory post because they are citizen of the country. This post holds no value. Even if he remains an advisor or is fired this was a peanut post so giving him the post on the first place was nothing big and taking back the post is also nothing big. Let's move on.

That's where you're dead wrong. Pak needed an eminent economist (there is no one in the same stratosphere as Atif Mian) to advise (since he can't hold a govt ministry) Asad Umar who's not an economist in any stretch of the imagination. He's not even a finance guy. More fit to be the commerce minister. The rest of the advisors are the same useless minds that got Pak into trouble in the first place. Atif Mian is young and an innovative mind. Pak desperately needs that.

We distribute cheques among those who block, use abusive languages, curse others & disturb day to day activities of common/ordinary citizen and on the other hand we kick out those who are known experts in their field just bcoz they belong to a diff sect/religion etc...... gimme a break...

For all my so called liberal friends let me just simplify and explain the entire issue here. There is nothing against the minorities in pakistan, minorities can work and roam around freely nobody is stopping them, either you are Christian, Hindu, Sikh or Jew all minorities in pakistan are equally respected ......

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

The Constitution of Pakistan discriminates against Non Muslims. From Blasphemy Laws to Evidence Laws (Qanoon e Shahdat), from Hadood Ordinance to Blood Money laws, There are a lot of laws in Pakistan that discriminate against the Non Muslims. Whether it's Education, Inheritance, Marriage, Divorce or Conversion, Pakistani Non Muslims face severe institutionalized religious discrimination.

PS: A very disappointing decision by PTI leadership ...

Their information minister instead of issuing strong verbal statements to support his party's decision and defending Atif's religious affiliation, should have focused more on explaining why Atif's appointment was done, on what basis, what entailed his appointment, but all he did was defend him as a Qadiyani and nothing about the skills that man has.
Bigotry won (again)

Routine Mullah badmashi ! these goons of all kinds and types are the biggest obstruction in development of pakistanis. The message is simple its their way or the motorway
This incident explains to us how deep the rot is

I am not sad not for PTI neither for Pakistan, I am happy on this decision. A very PEACEFUL
future of Pakistan is on way.

Pak's loss. Pak's loss for thinking they can have anyone of Atif Mian's stature advising them on economic matters. There is no Pakistani that comes even close to who he is. Atif Mian is already more accomplished and successful than any of these brain-dead characters that were against him. Same useless people will grovel for loans from the zionist IMF and atheist China. Atif Mian, a muslim subject to hatred and discrimination, was the only one capable of pulling Pak out of the economic morass it finds itself in today, ironically due to the same khatim e nabuwwat harping zealots who continuously harp on endlessly about useless matters and can't get out of their own way.

They'll be the same idiots crying when ahmedis badmouth Pak. Despite what Pak has done to them, it's amazing that they've stayed loyal and committed to Pak and its interests.

What exactly does that mean? Who are his well wishers? And why should they be listened to? This puts into question IK's and Asad Umar's commitment of putting Pakistan and its economy first. He cowered under pressure from mentally-stunted people. There should be no felicitations on order.
Atif was only book writer and taught in school never hd any real experience in fixing country economy.

This guys is.more deserving than that atif
