Gorshkov was a 1970s Soviet grandpa carrier, i don't think its maintenance fees would be lower than that of the USS Kitty Hawk. Not mentioning that Russia sold this carrier to you at the price of the USS George HW Bush.

They had also placed a condition that we purchase 65 F/A18 superhornets for it at the cost of 4.5 Billion USD

Vikadi is Kiev class carrier and it as carrier of 80's and 90's not 70's.

I don't know whos right or wrong, but what I read is that originaly the deal was india will buy 12 mig-29k and 4 mig-29kub, plus 6 Kamov for about $1b and the carrier would be free subject to $800m refit and upgrade, a rough total of $1.8b to $2b. The price for the carrier refit and upgrade has since increased to $2.35b agreed to by both governments just before putins arrival to india, that brings the price roughly to around $3.35b to about $3.55b.

Remember though the carriers that the UK are making cost $6.5b each (though they are larger), with-out aircrafts, so it's upto each one of you to decide if its value for money?
