Google Exec Sees India Bigger, Badder Than China

All right guys, since you refuse to be bipedal, by all means compare yourselves to others, let others give meaning and purpose to your endeavor - happy trails.

@muse sir your opinion may hold true in a perfect world with no competition. .but in this competitive world comparison is unavoidable. .

anyways, we both have our own views.

It's not natural at all, it's embarrassing -- as long as you guys keep doing this you keep reinforcing the notion that you have no internal or self worth, that it only exists in relation to some other.

It's a google exec doing a comparison - it's how a company perceives where it needs to project itself in the future - every huge company does that - they plan out for the future, this will definitely prompt google to look at heavy investments in India - where they already have invested substantially.

For Chinese, google is sucks, they prefer Baidu.

I've used Baidu once, it's a good enough search engine, but there's just one problem, a lot of the results appear censored, or at least rearranged so that foreign sites are later.

sir,how do we set standards??it is like asking a fighter to(let us say) physically train himself and reach his own standard.
of course some desirable standards have to be set...and this comes from a relative comparison..in this case perhaps his next opponent..or perhaps the champion...

and comparison is a natural trait in human beings.

Very nice response and view of things.

Well internet is just going to become like electricity and phone. It will reach most of the poor people of the world and will be just like any other utility for the coming generation.

I don't agree with the meaningless comparison with China or any other country. We are competing only with ourselves, to provide a reasonable living standard to our poor people and the internet can act as an enabler in leapfrogging, just as the mobile did over the last decade.
