if we ignore the elite theory of final round, check out the second last round, Russia(77), China(88), both has the largest talent pool, US(36), Japan(25) following, while India got only (3), this is a serious question for Indian education.

If India wants to see more Indians in the final round, we need to lay good emphasis on Maths education.

I know someone will bring up those, I know Pepsi got a CEO, an Indian women....

But defensiveness does not help, as you're boasting your software business, which triumph China or Russia by your standard, but on the other hand in this talent contest you just can not fight to the last round. As I mentioned in OP, it's not about IQ, it's about Education, basic education.

This is not about Math education, How many children in elementary school can access computers, India is losing the future. Your gov spend much more on weapon import, even on aid poorer countries( not richer than you) to brag an imaginary "world power" status, than those spend on Education, Social welfare, Poverty reduction, etc.

think about it before tag everything as "India bashing", you overestimate your importance, as shown in the table. India is not only a significant player, on Code Jam, or International Mathematics/Physics/Chemicals/ Olympiad, or the Physical Olympic Games. These are things all constitute a "World Power" status.

Toyota is the world's largest car manufacturer, yet almost non existent in F1. Does it mean that Toyota is not the world's largest car manufacturer and they should not boast about it?

You get 10/10 for retarded logic.

don't delude people with your 14 yr old kiddo backyard game, not at all comparable to this Code Jam.

you mention Toyota which is surely a racing car brand I don't know what's your point. And as I posted in OP, if you look at the second last round, which signify the wider broadband strength, you only score (3), and China got (88), Russia got (77) respectively, note these are from a larger pool of thousands of people, India has the largest attenders over 3000 signups, yet only got (3) in the semi-final, and (0) in the final.

Be modest, Indians(at least some). India is way behind "world powers"

.
Google code jam is self selecting contest, so it's not proper to use it's result to gauge competence of Indian software industry. Just as its not proper to measure Chinese intelligence based on Chinese posters in PDF.

Anyway coding is not the only part of software development, thread starter should read more about software development life cycle. Of my 4 years of career as a java developer in a leading American investment bank, I never had to face a coding problem which would take a whole day to solve.

lmfao suddenly its not about kids.

This is not about Math education, How many children in elementary school can access computers, India is losing the future. And now that I showed you the kids are doing quite well its not about kids anymore.:blah: Save your advise for your own little country which spends more on defence(% wise) than India and less on education(%) than India.

you mention Toyota which is surely a racing car brand I don't know what's your point.

Yeah but they don't do that well in F1, GM doesn't even participate. Yet they are the two largest car companies of the world.

And as I posted in OP, if you look at the second last round, which signify the wider broadband strength, you only score (3), and China got (88), Russia got (77) respectively, not these are from a larger pool of thousands of people, India has the largest attenders over 3000 signups, yet only got (3) in the semi-final, and (0) in the final.

Be modest, Indians(at least some). India is way behind "world class"

We don't need to hear that from a Pakistani, we know that and working for it. Unlike your kind.
