The world is very different from what it was even 100 years ago.Infant mortality rates are down. Medecine has prolonged the average life in every part of the world. There are less wars. Theres no plagues. Its not like if we dont keep it in our pants we'll go extinct or something. We are the most dominant creature on the planet. Overpopulation is a legit problem and developed countries (having a stagnant population surprise surprise) have addressed it quite well. Less mouths to feed means less competition. Should everyone be given the "live and let live" approach and have 70 kids we'll see 10 billion people in less than the next 5 years. After which theres no going back and if anything THAT will cause human extinction.
