Speaking from my experience... girls get along well with there studies both in co-educational and only girl colleges.. it is only boys that get distracted, neglects there studies and eventually end up as jobless jacks...

where I was studying, girls usually peak (in terms of educational achievements) during 10th or +2/inter , it goes downhill from there.
girls also put more hours, and traditionally do better in subjects that requires good memory.. like say biology, chemistry..

Of course is the word, that comes to mind. However, the Mullahs trying to turn the little children into foot soldiers for extremist/terrorists organizations or sending them on kamikaze mission will disagree with you. For them, the occasional brief touching by a pious female during Jihadi training as a reminder of the rewards that await the little kids in the hereafter is good enough, though they will themselves continue producing children at an alarming rate (as birth control is haram) than they can afford and marrying more women than they can bear (with continued privileges of divorcing the first one and getting a new one to replace here) or engaging in Halalah (International equivalent of one night stand) as sex is more important to a Mullah/Qari/Moulvi/Mufti/Haji than religion itself.
